Yes Chris Neil, you better watch your ass because Laraque will have a hand on it all night long !

Quote of the week.
While the love for Chris Neil is appreciated, I really don't expect to see him OR Ruutu fight Laraque. He'll pummel both of them in a fight and they know that.

But that will not stop those 2 from being dicks on the ice. It's their job to throw your star players off thier games, and that's just what they'll be attempting to do. The instigator penalty protects these kinds of players from paying the price. Laraque is welcome to take a 5min major (?) if he wants to break it.

Besides, it's not like Ottawa hasn't seen a lot of Laroque these past 2 seasons. Chris Neil was up to his antics against Crosby and Co. and I don't recall him ever fighting Laroque. (I could be wrong on this). Ofcourse, most of what I'm saying applies to if Laroque is on your 4th line. IMO He'll need to play with ur stars to "intimidate", and even then I don't see him doing much.

It was from his Oiler days. One line that caught my attention was wen he said that one day he would come back.
George Laraque prediction:
72 games played, 12 fights,10 goals and 3 assist
I tough it would have been a fight clip pf him I had already seen but I was pleasantly surprised. Worth 5 minutes of everybody's time to check that out.

The most interesting was his insight into the mind of a fighter.

In his mind, he shouldn't even try to fight a guy like Avery, because he knows Avery won't drop against him so George would just end up taking minors on him and that's what Avery wants.

George said verbatim, that if Avery is a nuisance, then a guy like Modano gets stamped into the boards and told it's because of what Avery's doing, and that he should tell him to stop unless he wants the boards again.

Personally, I think the cheers would be louder for Ribeiro getting drilled, but what can you do, the man said Modano.

He said that he wouldn't necessarily drop against Neil for the same reasons. A matter of weight classes.

He also said that every other fighter in the league is great, and that they are a camaraderie. He said he'd never diss another fighter in the media.

Chara vs Laraque, who wins? I think Chara would to be honest, based on reach alone.
Reach or not, Charra wants nothing to do with BGL in a fight, they dropped the gloves twice and Charra went for the wrestling takedown from the get go, doesn't look like a guy that thinks he can win the fight.

Thanks PP, I'm looking forward to hearing more interviews with BGL as the season progresses.

If you listen carefuly during the second part on the interview, Ron ask him how he will feel when i'll play the first game in montreal. Georges said that he will have gossebump AND he said something else after and if you read between the line, i'm pretty sure he will get a fight that night!

Laraque is GREAT!

Wow, well done. That's the best Laraque highlights I've seen. That hit on the guy in blue shirt ( New York ?) at the end looked like a cruncher. Imagine Laraque's 250 lbs crushing you at full speed in the boards.

Nice compilation. 2:24 I love when the helmet EXPLODES off his head!

If anything I've heard about this guys sticks it's what I heard today. He apparently said in an interview that he doesn't waist his time on small fries like Avery or Ruutu and if they're out of line, he'll simply go after a star player and tell them it won't stop unless they do. I LOVE it!
