Not sure what happened to the first...
Anyway, Sarah Palin is set to drop the puck at the Flyers' home opener.
This has disaster written all over it.

Rivet Captain of Sabres
Not sure if this was posted elsewhere but the Sabres just made Rivet Captain.
The captaincy will not be rotated like it was last year. Rivet will have it for the entire time. The alternate captains will bounce around though, as they go by where the game in being played that night. At home, winger Jason Pomminville and veteran defenseman Teppo Numminen will wear the “A” while defenseman Jaroslav Spacek and center Jochen Hecht get the honors on the road.

Yes it's been posted multiple times. I don't know why people care either, he's not on this team anymore.

No offense to the OP either.. but who cares?
Good for Rivet, if I wanted Sabres news, I'd go to the Buffalo board.

well at least we are back to Rivet talk again...
This seems odd to me... wouldn't have been my first choice for the C.... I'd have given him an A, but I'd think the C has to be a guy who has been there a while.
I know sometimes they give it to a proven captain coming from another team ie Messier in Vancouver, or something like that... but Rivet has never been a captain before.

OT- Rivet named captain of Buffalo
Well he stands up for his teammates, and works hard. So not a bad choice. I would have thought played who had been there longer would have more consideration. IE: Roy
