I might be mistaken, but if I remember correctly, the reason Carbo had to end the Koivu, Higgins and Lats line because neither Chris nor Gui could play on the right, and they really needed a right-winger to replace Ryder.

Call me crazy, but why not call back Pacioretty if Higgins can't play this weekend? Let the kid have fun for 2 games... it can't be bad for him.

Indeed. Many were those who said that MaxPac needed to be in the top 9 to stay up, and I have reluctantly accepted this argument, but now with a top-9 guy injured, I do think it is better to give Pacioretty the couple of games showcase than to put Dandy or Kosto or BGL or Laps or Chips on one of the wings on the top 3 lines.

My thoughts exactly....however I'd be a lil more predisposed to do something like this with....while we wait for a higgie return

Kosty-Plecks-Kosty (young speedy, and skilled)
Tanguay-Koivu-Kovy (best set up men with best scorer)
Lats-Lang-Lapierre (size and grit with skills)
Begin-Chips-Kosto

The problem is that in order to call him up you have to put someone on IR. We are at the 23 man roster limit. Bouillion is currently on IR.

I'm not sure the minimum amount of time a player has to stay on IR once they are put there, but I'm sure there is some kinda minimum.

If Higgins is day-to-day... do you really want him on IR for weeks.

I think the minimum may be 10 days.

It seems that it's Kostopoulos who's going to play on the 3rd line...

While they still aren't sure who of Dandy and Chips will play on the 4th.

Kosto is imo the best choice beside MacPac and D'Agostini to play on that 3rd line.

ok today at practice the 3rd line was lke this:

SK Lang Kostopoulos

Am I the only who's thinking that instead of putting kostopoulos on this line, why not calling up an offensive kid...? why putting fourth liners on the third when we have tons of rookies ready just waiting for a call?

hum... maybe ill get flame ofr this but i think that i prefer 3 game with max pac than 1game with kosto and 2 games with higgin...

in my mind, we are not that much weaker by swapping higgins for paccio.
but maybe higgins will be back by friday and everythig will be fine

Lol... Pacioretty hasn't played a single NHL regular season game! How are you so sure he's such an upgrade over an established and talented player like Higgins?

With Higgins out, our 3rd and 4th lines look absolutely terrible!!

What the **** has Dandenault or Kostopolous done to earn a spot over Chipchura??

This is total BS.

Breezer on the blueline??

I hope Higgins is ready to go soon because suddenly instead of having 3 scoring lines we have 2. The Koivu-Tanguay combination is considerably weaker with Lats up there instead of Higgins that's for sure.

I don't mind Dandenault on the third line. At the very least, he should have the speed to keep up on a scoring line. If only his hands weren't made of stone.

Shame there's no alternative. You know...

There is an alternative. In my opinion, Chipchura should be centering the fourth line.

Also, what is with this Latendresse love? He is just 240 pounds of wuss. When was the last time he actually hit somebody? Training camp 3 years ago?

He is an integral player on this team. He could be such a dominant power forward with his size and skill, but he thinks he is Gretzky out there. If we are going to go anywhere in the playoffs we need a big body presence with skill.

I know Pacioretty can provide that, lets hope Latendresse finally gets rid of the diapers and starts to play like a man this year.

The last time he hit somebody? How about being the number one foward in hits last year for the habs?

Because of the retard Dandenault we can't call up MaxPac!

Kosto is the perfect team player, he's a lock on the 4th line.

This guy is lingering around like its nobodys business. I love how people call him "versatile". Maybe 7 or 8 years ago, but not now. Dude was singed to be a #4 or 5 defenceman, but in 06-07 was so wretched on D that Carbo had to keep him on forward last year. Well, he was so bad at forward that he was basically in the press box all of March. And now, he's our 14 or 15th forward depth wise. I don't call that versatility, I call that sucking.
