Well..like it or not, it wasn't just a slogan. ''La ville est Hockey'' was perfect because its actually true. It seems you're from Sherby so maybe that's why you didn't like it.
But it's all about the Habs in Mtl, that slogan translated it to perfection.

I do agree, we need to change that crappy Vertigo song.

I didn't get a real good look at it, but i'm pretty sure it said "L'histoire se joue ici." And it had a picture of a current hab (Hamrlik in this case) playing against Sakic in a Nordiques jersey.
Anybody else see these around? And are the "La Ville Est Hockey" ads still up at the Bell Centre?
Just work in front of the Bell Center and it is L'Histoire se joue ici. With the big banner with Koivu and Béliveau, it is pretty neat. There's the other one where you see Raymond Bourque in it against I don't remember who though....Much better than La Ville est hockey not only 'cause of what's written but the fact that they mix the present and the past in the same image but not only amongst Habs players but great opponents from the past as well. Good job.

Welcome to 2 weeks ago..
The goal song is no longer Vertigo.
Its a song by Simple Plan, however when we score, the crowd is so loud, you dont even hear, even when your there.

I have a better idea:

A bunch of "Macho" guys trying to act cool and tough in front of girls, flirting with them in a club/lounge, ... That... Until Sergei Kostitsyn appears behind the bar... Suddenly, all the girls are totally shocked and give all their attention to Sergei, leaving the losers behind

That would be awesome !!

Something makes me think that this might be a personal fantasy for you....

However on a beer commercial targetted at guys.... showing a guy like Sergei walking away with all the girls is not exactly good marketting.

Showing an average guy walking away with the girl because he is drinking a Molson Ex.... thats probably better. But an NHL player getting attention from Girls... yeah we see that all the time.

I think it's great how they recorded his thoughts on the team and put the chicken brand on them, clever :-p

And he thrives on that. He's the perfect egomaniac to play here.

Kovalev doesn’t eat. Rather he kicks ass until he’s full.

So a commercial where an NHL hockey player picks up a bunch of puck bunnies is gonna entice you to buy beer.

Okay..

Yes, his full given name is probably closer to Alexei when translated to English from Russian...

However he has told us that he prefers to be called Alex.
