OH MY GOD, goalie controversy
On the serious side, happy to see Halak in nets vs the laffs, hoped to see Chips instead of Dandenault but what can we do?
Ftw
Carbo has said that with the 3 games in 4 nights we will need all our players. So my guess is that Chipchura will get in one of the 3 games at least.
I thought that Halak would get the start against Toronto. No sense playing Price in Back to back games this season, with Halak as the backup.
I agree with Chipchura.
As for no playing Price in back to backs i generally agree however it also depends on the opponent and the rest of the schedule. We have 3 in 4 nights so i want Price to play two of those. The leafs look to have the weakest offence of those 3 teams... so that is the smart start for Halak.

I'm of two minds about it.
On one hand, Carbo cannot burn him out. He is too young to play 70 games, so we need him fresh for the playoffs.
On the other hand, he'll have to play back to back in the playoffs, so I think it's important that he do it from time to time.
Dandenault will score the first goal of the season with a weak wrister from the left circle. The puck will deflect of Henrik Tallinder and end up in the top of the net. All this happening 5 minutes and 42 seconds into the first period.
I agree we shouldn't do it often... but there are times when it should be done.
of course every rule has an exception. Price will probably not be scheduled for any back to back's but there is always a chance he plays in some due to many thing's like injuries, opponents, how both Halak and Price are playing at the time etc. After saying this i bet Price play's no more than 2 or 3 back to backs in the regular season.
Halak is very capable and will need at least 20-25 starts so there is no reason to not play him in a back to back situation.

there are not usually many back to back games in the playoffs, certainly not enough to worry about or prepare for now.(at the beginning of the season)
Son of a *****, what the **** is Dandenault still doing with the Habs.I can't believe we're leaving chipchura in the pressbox for that clown, i mean comon he spent the hole training camp playing defense for god' sake. he cost more, he's less usefull defensively, he's worst offensively.
On a good side i can't wait to see how the Latendresse-Koivu-Tanguay line will look, i hope it stay like that permanintly
I hope Dandenault has the game of his life and scores a hat trick.
I just want him gone, I wish Gainey would waive him, it can not be that good for the team to be holding players back to respect him.
I love Gainey and I know how well he treats players but sometimes you need to be like Lou in Jersey and cut the fat.
