ummm superior intellectual capacity and canadian , isnt that a contradiction??? LOL j.k i only became a hockey fan 2 years ago cause i married a Calgarian. So the deal was i cheer for the flames or there arent many happy nights during hockey season...... So see im a Flames fan out of necessity so dont take offense it was good old ribbing, i mean there are worse things than being a Nucklehead.... you could be a grease head from oil country!!!!

Started relatively late, and never really had the chance. Couldn't crack it against WHLers. Had very good health, but my skating (speed and acceleration) was never better than average, and once it started declining, that was the spell of doom. I lacked strength, and generally didn't have high-level skills. As a defenseman, I could hit pretty well, and had a hard slap-shot. But I had a sub-par wrister and generally wasn't good at getting my shot off.

Every coach I've had did tell me that I had very good hockey sense and quickness. I always had good positioning, made the correct plays and did them quickly, and read the opposition very well. I like to think the couple of games I had in the WHL justified that, as the speed of the game never once phased me.

I figure if University doesn't pan out, I'll learn to skate, give the NHL a shot, and see if I like it.

2 of my old friends are in the NHL right now and a couple others in the AHL. I think if I continued to play and worked my arse ass to get more fat and muscles I would've a chance at AHL at least... Oh well, I should've never stop!

Honestly, if I work really hard for as long as possible, I MAY make some sort of junior league. Like my max potential would be a not so good OHL'er or something. Maybe I could join the Mexican Elite League

I probably have no chance, but I'm still young. If I work hard enough you never know.

If I had two more inches and had started earlier, I probalby could have made Junior or maybe College. I have pretty good speed, but I'm 5'6 and have only been playing for about a year and a half.

But I can do a full lap around the rink (like they used to do for fastest skater) in 16.5 seconds or so.

Stickwork though? Nowhere close to those guys.

Perhaps I could break in as an all star rookie equipment manager or something.

I'm more than willing to call out Semenov's weaknesses, but he has one hell of a slap shot.

one of my friends thinks he is going to make it. Yet he skates with his head down in high school hockey waiting for some goon to take it off.

I thought the same about Derick Brassard when he was at my high school....then he went early first round.

You never know whos on here and you never know who may stumble upon that, there are players from the east coast league i played with that i know are on here and choose to stay out of convos like this or any questions about their own playing. you would be surprised how many guys on are here but because of where they play and contract situations they want to stay on the safe side. thank you guys for the luck.

I get asked questions like that all the time. Pretty much everyone knows im a diehard flyers fan and so honestly when the flyers play the devils i want the flyers to win. Nothing has changed at all like that. The way i see it, i do not play for the devils and never have so i really dont have an emotional ties to the NHL squad. I know a few guys, younger players and have skated with most of them at one time or another but until I'm at least a fringe NHL player I will be a flyers fan. I get asked a lot if i would still be a flyers fan if i made the NHL and to that i say...hell no, once i'm in the league thats my competition, my rival and those are the guys trying to take our spot in the standings.
Yeah your not a Devil. At least don't let Chris or Lou see this.

Not very difficult to find your profile on ************

If you don't make in North America, you should really try Europe. I bet your style/size would fit nicely on larger rinks, playing a more open style of hockey. Lots of players with similar stats as yours do well, and get paid good money at the same time.

Anyway, good luck with the season. Hope you earn a spot with Lowell.

Edit: These guys were leading scorers in the Norwegian Elite League last season:

http://hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisp...id%5B%5D=71391

They were signed by Rögle(SEL) prior to this season, and they're doing pretty good.

I tried out for the kings new ECHL Affilliate squad, the Ontario Reign. I spent 2 hours on my butt. So I guess if I cant make that squad then I guess I wont be making the NHL anytime soon.
