Opening Night Edition

What will Philly's lines look line this year?
What about their PP and PK?

Does anyone else think Lupul needs/should get top 6 Min? During his crazy streak last year this guy was tearing it up, after Hatcher sat on his face, he wasnt the same (who would be ).

But anyway, i feel like the production we saw from him during his hot streak is more like the player he is.

At the very least, top 6 min gives him the best shot of going on another streak like that too

I think the "2nd" and "3rd" lines will both get a lot of time, and he should be on the 2nd PP unit.

I am not necessarily concerned about minutes as long as they rotate the lines similar to last year, however, I am concerned that he is playing with Metro, he should and deserves a better center to play with (Richards).....Again, this is one of my biggest problems with Briere moving to the wing.

I rather try
Gagne Briere Hartnell
Knuble/Metro Richards Lupul
Upshall Carter Metro/Knuble
Cote Downie Asham

or (w/ Briere at wing)

Gagne Richards Lupul
Upshall Carter Briere
Hartnell Metro Knuble

I was thinking the same thing. What are the chances that he gets bumped up to the top 2 lines? Maybe take Knuble's spot.

I agree he should be centered by someone better that Metro.

Upshall-Carter-Knuble has sick chemistry, but if they falter Hartnell and Lupul will probably move up.

But the thing is Lupul still ends up with more minutes than Upshall because Lupul gets PP time.

yep. also, I hope that at the trade dealine we make a trade for a legit 3rd center for a rental if metro is not working out

Anyone else think that Eminger is going to get more minutes? I think he would be be better suited to be 2nd unit PP.

I tend to agree...part of the problem is that Upshall appears to be a definite handcuff to Carter. Whereas out of Gagne, Briere, Lupul, Hartnell, and Upshall, I think Upshall is the first and most obvious choice to play on the 3rd line with Metro. However, we've got the Carter handcuff.

It's a dilemma...but I guess it's a good one to have.

Yep, I think there's a very good chance that a month into the season Eminger is on the 2nd pairing and 2nd PP unit in place of Jones.

They screwed it all up by moving Briere to the wing.... I really like the Upshall/Knuble/Carter line when we have 3 top centers, but with Briere moving to the wing, I rather see this:

Hartnell Carter Briere
Gagne Richards Lupul
Upshall Downie/Metro Knuble
Cote Downie/Metro Asham

Oh well, I am sure by 8:15 tomorrow night the line combinations will change....

I like your lines but your first and second are out of order. What part of Hartnell Carter Briere beats Gagne Richards Lupul???

Gagne Richards Lupul
Hartnell Carter Briere
Upshall Metro Knuble
Cote Downie Asham
