And Lev, meant to reply earlier that yes, it's 11 points in 12 games for Cherepanov. Or 12 in 13 games now. Still pulling for a goal for him today so he can break the club goal-scoring streak record.
Has Cherry been playing with Jagr the entire game or previous games?
Don't seem to work well together?
Haven't watched the games, but I'd guess no - they're both RWs. (This is backed by reports from Squishy and others that say they're on different lines.)
which makes cherry's stats totals all the more impressive
Depends on how ya see it.
If Jagr is getting all the other teams top players against him, then Cherry is getting the 2nd line/3rd line players to go up against. Just something to think about.

Russian coaches don't match lines, they just roll them one after another. So he can be up against just about anyone. Especially now, under Fleming, who's said he's not going to roll lines like Russian coaches do and will put whoever's playing best out.
Avangard Omsk lost to CSKA Moscow 4-2 today. No points, 2 PMs (high sticking) for Cherepanov, ending his 9-game point scoring streak (which is tops in the league this season so far). Jagr had an assist.

According to BB, the league took away an assist he got in one of the games a few games back..which ended his point streak.
Since the KHL playoffs start roughly 6 weeks before the end of the NHL season and Cherrys contract is through this season, is he eligible to sign his NHL contract this spring whenever Omsk drops out?
Is there a scenario where he could play for the Rangers in March/April/May/June ?
He could probably sign a contract with the Rangers right now if he wanted to. It just wouldn't kick in until he comes over and starts playing.
I'm not sure when his current contract officially expires, though (just like NHL contracts don't expire until July 1st, regardless of when their team gets knocked out of the playoffs).
