Thanks, I like Hughson. Since Cuthbert left, he's by far their best play by play guy.

Look to the sig, my friends. Look to the sig.

Houghston & Simpson will be calling the game. May I just say Simpson has quite the square head.

They Skipped all that and just gave him the Hart and the Conn Smythe....

He is so good he got the Playoff MVP and the Leafs don't even make the playoffs.

i suggest the Habs to loose the games againts the Leafs this season . Habs will do the playoffs anyway , and that could put the Leafs away of Tavares .

Not so sure about tonight guys. Never thought I would say that, but I actually like the young Leafs! They remind me of the Habs when they were younger 4-5 years ago when Komi, Higgins, Plekanec were about to be full-time NHL players.

And you know what? Habs should be afraid of them actually. The entire league puts them down but they're hungry, they have rising talent (Kulemin is quite something) and they're very well coached. It won't be a walk in the park tonight at ACC.

That being said: 5-3 Habs - empty netter.

Kovalev (2), Markov, A. Kostitsyn, Latendresse.

Tlusty, Stajan, Antropov.

They've lost some skill but the Leafs are a quicker team than last season. They've replaced guys like Tucker and Wellwood with faster skaters like Kulemin, Hagman, Grabovski. The bulk of their scoring this pre-season hasn't come from their first line of Blake and Antropov-Ponikarovski who struggled without Sundin.

Their D corps has generally looked good but Frogren and Van Ryn can be wobbly.

That's what I'm thinking too. If they keep going in this direction they could look like how we look now in 5 years, though their drafting is probably not as intense as ours

Luke Schenn is so good, that he's already given the Leafs a 3-0 lead for tonight's game

Look for Tlusty to have another big game for them tonight, he was their best forward against Detriot IMO. I expect to see Begin out of the line tonight and Lapierre slotted to wing to make room for Chips. I can't wait to see some more Lang Kosty Jr., they seem to be developing some nice chemistry. I think once they get a solid winger on that line(not saying anything bad about Kostopolous he played really well last night) like Higgins, they could be a pretty dynamite line. If the first two lines step up like they can, we will win this game because we have the superior depth.

Myself, Im giving all players 5-10 games before I make any concrete assessments on them
Well you are more reasonable than me.. As another poster said, Koivu missed almost all the training camp with his foot injury so Im highly probably too quick on the release..

The Canadiens HAVE to win this game tonight. There's no excuse for losing to the Sabres and to lose to the Leafs would seriously hurt team pride.

Why are we after Koivu all the time ? What about Pleks and Lappy and Lats and Kovy and all the others who did squat last night. I know its not the silly french english debate, because Kovy and Pleks don't speak french. I know a lot of the Koivu hatred comes from the fench media. It can't be that people follow the medias pressure.

Let's be honest here; hurt the team pride, or hurt your pride?

Both, I think. To lose their first two games would put some serious doubts on the team from my perspective and, I'm sure, from the perspective of the coaching staff. Some serious changed would have to be made.

We need Kovy to be more accurate with his shots and a better performance by the captain.

Wow... are you serious? So when the team will lose two in a row this season you'll claim drastic changes?! Glad you're not the GM...

However, if we lose tonight, and Tanguay - Koivu do squat once again, I say enough is enough. Put Tanguay back on LW and play him with Lang and Sergei Kostitsyn. This would be an awesome line.
