Wow... Tanguay definately prooving his doubters wrong, as he was terrific tonight. Such a bright player... such a great passer.

Great energy by Koivu in the game.

Latendresse was great too, so were Kovalev, Plekanec, AK46, Sergei Kostitsyn, Lang, Markov, Komisarek, Halak and everyone...

Great game guys! So pumped about Tanguay's game...

My no.1 conclusion after this game ..

I think if the Hamilton Bulldogs played the Toronto Maple Leafs and you give Halak to the Dogs, the Dogs would win or make it a close game.

If you suck badly enough to give up more than 6 goals, you deserve what you get. The Habs were 100% right to rev up their PP.
Also, who do you put on the ice? Habs' third PP unit is better than the leafs' first.

Habs wins 6-1...either call the Leafs what they are, or make note of how the Habs PP shredded the Leafs.

Take your pick.

Cherry is funny...Sergei Kostysyn had the first chance in his career to get a hat trick...of course they are going to put him on the PP and with good players....

that and because of the stupid 6 games in 7 nights the habs havent had the chance to really practice their PP in a game situation

I understand the argument of not rubbing in a victory, you don't want to embarrass your opponents.

But in that case, the Leafs had long since embarrassed themselves. What a heartless effort. No wonder they couldn't find a player to stitch the 'C' to.

That has to be, without a doubt, the softest Leaf team I've seen in my lifetime. They actually *miss* Ryan Holleweg who's nothing more then a punk.

That was pitiful.

What's up with Andrei?? Not the start we all have been looking from him. He needs to score first to get going (like his brother)

Sure thing Don, I hope Wilson does remember next game....when the Laffs are getting pounded again.
What's Wilson gonna do? Send Hollweg out there? Or better yet Mitchell?

He can't do anything ...

I think we found our replacement for Streit on the powerplay... Tanguay was awesome with Markov.

Sergei is also in great shape. Lats did great too with limited ice time. However, i hope they put S.Kost on the 1st line and use Lats & Higgins with Lang.

The good: Pretty much everyone, great performances.
The bad and ugly: Lapierre on 2-on-1's.

He's been a slow starter the past 3 years.

No question whatsoever to me that the worst player - by a long shot - wearing a red sweater was Ryan O'Byrne.

He looked bad last night in Buffalo and tonight he was probably worse. He also knocked the puck away from Halak on the Leaf goal.

Good one. Nice all round. Even Brisebois did something right by bleeding for us.

I'm fine with us running the top PP unit out all night.

He hopes Wilson takes it down, remembers it?

What are they going to do? Out score us? Try to fight us? Oh thats right, next time we play Laraque will be in the lineup.

I disagree. I saw a physical game from Andrei that drew penalties and threw the Leafs off of their game. Don't forget, every team in the NHL is aware of the potency of the Habs 1st line.... we now have 2 other solid offensive lines to deal with the over defensive compensation on our 1st line.

Very telling game tonight, it was.

Much, much better game from the Tanguay-Koivu-Lats line; the Lats goal was pure beauty. Tanguay also used his body on the play to help allow Koivu to get by, which was great to see. They took away my complaints of them from last game.

AKost's off to a slow start, but in the points column only; he's played very well in the past two games. There seems to be a little lack of coordination on the KPK line, but they're still playing well regardless; once they get everything together, they'll start putting the points up.

BTW, it didn't seem like they got a lot of PP time tonight. Anyone else notice that? Might be just me...

I cant wait to see how the team will look like once Higgins and Laraque come back. Ive been watching the Habs since '89 and this is clearly the most talented team ive ever witnessed...
