I've been surprised with lang somewhat

But I've really been surprised at how bad brisebois has been. I mean, I have ultra low expectations for him at the best of times, but he's trying to set the bar even lower

Robert Lang, not even close. He plays a smart and simple game, still has some moves in him and protects the puck really well. He's also a potable skater.. not as bad as what people made he seem to be. Another surprise is Latendresse, we all know he worked hard during summer to improve his game, well, it finally showed tonight.

I'm not surprised by Lats. He played two full seasons at age 19 and 20 and held his own. Now he is 21 and simply maturing physically, emotionally, mentally.

Anybody who was down on a 20 year old kid with 150+ games of NHL experience was obviously impatient or had unreasonable expectations.

Tanguay has been a nice surprise. He seemed disinterested in Calgary and now he'll have a chance to play to his strengths in our system. He is also alot more physical than I knew about.

LOL !! And to think that some haters bashed Sergei in the meanning less pre-season and wanted to see Sergei being send down to the AHL... wow... just WOW !!
Best player of the Habs in this first two games !!

I told you guys that Sergei plays only when it counts !! No need to waste energy in some meanning less exibition games...

As for Surprises:

1) Roman Hamrlik: He is just dominant out there... doing everything
2) Robert Lang: Playing really well
3) Alex Tanguay: This guy knows how to pass... almost as good as Sergei
4) Guillaume Latendresse: Hustling and working real hard
5) Sergei Kostitsyn: I knew he was good and would be that good, but this dominant that early ?!?!! It's just to good to be true !! Again, best forward of the habs this week-end !!

Anyone that's actually surprised that Latendresse can pass, shoot & hit should be punched in the face repeatedly. This is hockey's future, so I have no idea why most on this board can't tell a great prospect when they see one.

I did not. I will re-watch the game (PVR). But I must admit I am awful hard on the guy, I didn't like how passes kept bouncing off his stick in Buffalo and I guess I had that on my mind as well.

Still, I maintain that Tanguay would benefit more by playing with Sergei and Lang.

Also, absolutely right on Komisarek, he's had more turnovers and mistakes in two games than the entire last season.

Well I'm not surprised that he can pass, unlike some player who's name starts with an L and ends with apierre.

But really, I'm excited to see what Latendresse with decent ice time can produce.

There is no surprise.
Its 2 games, so I don't we can label it as ''surprises'' yet.

Tonight was a preview of what is EXPECTED out of our players. Not Surprises.

I'm not suprise or concern in Komisarek's case. He has always been a slow starter to the season. He did strugle in the first game, less in the second game but he also got unlucky with some bad bounce of the puck. There isn't much you can do when the puck bounce right over your stick at the last second and there is a guy coming at you full speed.

He was injured atr the end last year and got injured again in pre-season. He is still finding his leg and timing out there, he'll get it soon enough and we won't have to worry much after that. Give him another 5 or so games. Big guys, even more for defenceman take longer to get ready, nothing new there.

I was scared in Sergei's case because of the second year thing and how he could have take it more easy but he is just great out there so far.

Lang has been great for us so far too. He brings a presence we really needed with his RH shot.

Lang also.

He could write a book on how to use your fat ass to protect the puck.

I've been pleasantly surprised with Lang. He has more hustle than I thought he would. I guess I just took the 'floater' label from the fans of his former teams to heart.

There's still time for him to go back to that I guess, but I'm happy with what I see for now.

Lang & Tanguay.

When we got them I thought they may not produce. But I am thoroughly impressed by those two.

Lang does not appear to be dogging it.

And Tanguay is one helluva of a complete player. He goes to the net constantly.

I had seen both players before but they have surprised me immensely

Tanguay. I was surprised at how terrible he was in game one and surprised at how incredible he was last night.

i noticed latendresse a lot. hes been good so far. maybe hes worried about pacioretty doing so well in camp and possibly taking his spot if he doesnt get better fast.

I wasnt sure who to vote for but yeah....Hamrlik is a good choice. More offensive then I expected.

Yesterday I noticed Latndresse a lot because he was dropping everything pass directed to him, I was missing Higgins a lot. Tonight's game was better for him. And on another note no surprise from the 4th line which is totally useless with Lappy being the less efficient forward ever on the offensive side.

Im liking S.Kost alot, but I knew he was good.

I am however suprised with Latendresse's's's's play so far. I spent most of last year wondering what the heck eveyone saw in him, spent most of the preseason wondering what the heck poeple were talking about when they said he got faster cause i could seriously not see a difference. I did however see a difference tonight. He seems just that little bit faster than he was. just enough that he kinda feels like he can be a threat now. Hopefully he will continue to progress.

Tanguay and Lang both seem very comfortable allready. If all these guys can get gellin' and we get lucky with our injuries like we did last year, its going to be really hard for opposing teams to shut down 3 lines in a row.

Go habs go.

Once Latendresse gets more confidence, he'll shoot more. When he starts shooting more, look out.
