saw him at a game 2 years ago in Albany vs. Hartford and after the game, he was walking down the tunnel and i shouted to him "See you in NY Dubi!". he looked up and smiled.

it's going to happen.. his skills and heart keep going up and up and up...

I still get a chuckle when smeone here refers to him as a "3rd line center"...He is a future captain and most importantly he is our Mike Richards for the next 10 years. Sometimes you just don't know where you next star is coming from.

It's great to see him play and I'm hoping for at least a 5-6 years contract.

hes gonna be awesome. i love how in his 2nd year he is stepping up and hanging out with the new guys. that line of voros dubi zherdev is awesome. and whats ironic is that dubinsky has been hanging out with the 2 of them... really trying to help them adjust to being in new york and you can see that they are both off to hot starts. dubinsky will be the next captain of the rangers especially once drury leaves at the end of his contract. dubi should get an A within the next 5 years.

what really impresses me is that it seems like he'll drop the gloves with anyone. If he drops them with Laraque though I'll just close my eyes and pray.

Dubi is great and all ,but you can't really say he'll be captain yet.

I'm not saying he won't be but before that can happen we still have drury our current captain and we still have gomez and even lundqvist if we decide to pull a canuck~

He's certianly capable but will he still be around when captaincy is up for grabs? i'd like to think so but im not psychic.

drury made a good point....he likes dubi's fiestiness but you have tp let sleeping dogs lie....after the fight the fans got into it and the flyers started to pick up their play.....when you have a team down 4-0 you dont give them any opportunity to get any momentum or thought in their head that its possible to gain anything positive....i love how dubi plays....but i feel like that may have been a bad spot that could only end up in a negative for the team.....if dubi won there fans were still into it and if richards won then the flyers had momentum and the fans were into it......to me its a lose, lose

That was exactly what i thought when I saw him drop the gloves. Love the kid's guts, but that probably wasn't the best of times.

I think Dubi and Staal will be wearing letters in the near future. One of them will get an A when Naslund is gone and the other will have to wait for Gomez and Drury are gone. I think Staal has as good a shot at becoming captain of this as Dubi does. I wouldn't be upset with either of them getting the C. Both are tremendous players and sould be career Rangers.

Yeah, I might buy that if this team never played like **** after getting a big lead. Rangers need to learn to finish teams off, scoring a fifth goal would of worked just as nicely as Richards and Dubinsky fighting - obviously in our favor.

Yeah, this is a good point and I thought the same. That definitely changed things for Philly. Well, that and the non interference call.

I love this kid though and it's good to see him handle himself well in that fight. Still, it'll take a while for me to get rid of that nervous tic I get during a Dubi fight that I call, 'Luc Richardson syndrome'

I believe his referring to last year, when Dubi tried to take on Richardson, and had his head handed to him.

For the original topic, I've said to my buds for a while now that Dubi will be captain of this squad some day.

As for the fight, I'm sorry but I think it was well placed. You could have put Lecavalier or Iginla in the same position and they would have taken that fight against Richards.

Richards a couple of good shots in the very beginning but that was it. It was a fairly even tilt with the upper hand going to Dubi in the latter part of the fight. I loved the fact that when it was said and done, the flyers captain was tossed around towards the end and ended up face down on the ice with Dubi on top and head up. To me that made a statement.

Phlly got most of it's momentum going on what should have been a disallowed goal, no matter what way you slice it. I found the refs put the whistles away for Phlly there for a bit but that happens and I'll take the win.
