Hey, I love MAB's game as much as the next guy...but IMO a 3 year deal + a team option seems a year too long for my comfort level. 2 years plus that option, then OK.

Well as everybody knows they had to qualify him. The offer that was made was more ''a technicality". (remember my english isn't very good) But one thing is sure, both sides would like to sign a mid to long term deal. (2 or 3 years)

Sure a 2 year deal at a relatively modest salary (say $650,000 per year) plus a team option year that includes a decent salary bump to say $1 million sounds fair. After the first 2 years of the contract we will know if MAB is a keeper - and the 3rd year is a nice incentive for him.
