I didn't get to see the game live or record it so I have a question about the last goal.

How great was the play by Suter to keep the puck in and get it over to Erat on the left half boards? From the view on the computer it looks exceptional.

If this is the way our powerplay will work with Weber and Suter at the points I see zero reason for Koistinen to get into the lineup.

I know exactly what you are talking about...personally, I sit on the opposite end of the rink behind the net, but over the goalies left shoulder. Therefore, I had very little in terms of depth perception as to how close the defender was, but my initial reaction when I saw Suter turn that way and then release the puck was...shorthanded breakaway goal to tie the game at 2-2.

Now, someone on the other end of the rink might tell you he had plenty of room to get that pass over, but as for me...I think he got incredibly lucky on that cross-ice pass and that it was a poor decision. But again, it worked...so you can view it any number of ways. It was simply a high-risk, high-reward type of play that thankfully worked in our favor, but could have gone terribly wrong.

I know what you mean by high risk high reward...but...isn't that what Koistinen would be in the line up? He can make that sort of play that makes the PP work but is iffy in the D-zone. Suter and Weber on the other hand have shown that they can fill the power play roll leaving a spot for Klein rather than Koisty.

Great game to see after Friday's disappointment. On to Chicago!

That was so much better.

I really didn't think Dallas would lose 2 games in a row and considering Friday for the Preds, I was worried. But Preds played very well.

PP/PK were great. Arnott all alone in front of Turco all night...finally!

I didn't notice Richards or Madano much out there so good job to the guys who were covering them.

It was nice to see them come out strong in the first period and then keep it going through the second when they usually have a let down. And to finish the game strong as well.

Apparently Avery got 2 game misconducts.

That banner was awesome. It was in 3 different places, someone kept taking it down and moving it.

Also, Arnott was NHL.com second star of the night for Saturday's games for his 2 goals and 1 asst!

Arnott scored 2 goals in last seasons home opener, too.

I was sitting right in line with the pass, it was coming right to me. It was a terrible decision. In fact, the Dallas forward got a little piece of the puck. If he had gotten more it would have been a clean breakaway the other way. Trust me, not a great play on Suter's part.

You don't remember when asked about her foreign policy experience Sarah Palin said something like, "Well, I can see Russia from my house."

Palin's foreign policy experience came up when she gave her first major interview, on Sept. 11 to ABC News. Asked what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, she said: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

The comment met with derision from Palin's critics and was turned into a punch line for a "Saturday Night Live" skit featuring actress Tina Fey. Appearing as Palin, Fey proclaimed, "I can see Russia from my house!"

What brings a smile to me face is when i figured out with the dollar escalations Radulov lost 5% of his contract's value compared to dollar in the past 3 Months.
