If Dawes wants to play against Brodeur and the Devils maybe he should try showing up for games against OTHER teams as well.

Dan Fritsche in for Rissmiller(Right ankle) per Zipay.

"It swelled up on him a bit after the skate yesterday and last night and we looked at him this morning and we thought it would be a better idea to rest that," said Renney. "I probably would have played Pat because of his size and I didn't get to see a lot of him in Philadelphia. Six or seven minutes isn't enough"

I don't like that it is for an unfortunate circumstance, however, i am glad Fritsche is FINALLY in the lineup.

Sjostrom to third line and Fritsche with Betts and Orr?

Been saying it since last year.

2 goals, 2 assists, +3 in 10 playoffs games last season, for a 23 year old, is pretty good.

7 goals, 5 assists in the final 26 games last season, also, pretty good.

Especially when you throw in the pking, hitting, and other intangibles.

Finally, Fritsche gets in. This is the team I think the Rangers should go with for the majority of the season.

Fritsche - Korpikoski - Callahan

According to Sam.

Can't understand why Sjostrom never gets a shot at a higher line. He is not a4th line player. He is too good for that line.

I would love nothing more than for the Rangers to continue their success against our crosstown rivals

I think we can be sure that it will be a close hard-fought game like all of the games were last year. Although Lundy seems to have the debbies number.

Let's Go Rangers!!!

FIVE AND OH

I think Renney is still trying to get a better look at the other depth forwards before moving one of them down ...IMO Fritsch should be in the lineup every night.

Cally is overrated depending on what people expect from him; he's a third line gritty player who can chip in here and there. Given that role that he plays on this team I would have to say that no, he is not overrated...he does his job well.

I think since he and Betts kill penalties well, he likes to keep them together so his lines dont get out of whack.

I thought Sjostrom played a very good game against the Flyers, glad hes back into the swing of things.

I can't understand why Fritche wouldn't move to the middle and Korpikoski to the the wing.

Seems like interchangeable parts to me. Both players can play both positions. How is Fritsche on faceoffs?
