He either fully dislocated his shoulder or has a third degree separation. I don't see any other reason why he would need to have surgery on it.

On the bright side, Duoghty has looked good out there and now he really has a chance to earn a full time spot.

The bright side.......

Lombardi: "Jeez, JMFJ, I'd love to lock you up long-term for something close to $4 mil per season. Unfortunately, since you're injury prone it'll be more like $2.4 mil".

That's what I'd think.

Likely they picked up Quincey with the intention of sending him, or someone on the Kings roster, to Manchester. They did just end Campbell's ATO.

And because Garth Snow is a moron, I'm betting we could get Hedman AND Tavares!

You can't grab someone off of waivers and send them down to the AHL (unless you're getting back someone you waived before, like if Bufallo waived Ellis, we could claim him and send him down).

The purpose of waivers is to give a chance to the player to play for another NHL team, not let teams stockpile players in the AHL.

likey SLAP tear.. labrum tear.. I'm goin in for surgery for the same thing.. Lecavalier had the same thing... It's fairly common for athletes and a couple of my hockey friends have had it done.. Unfortunately they say 2-3 but it's usually at least 6 months before you are back to normal...

Ug. Is this kind of thing a once and done or is it one of those injuries that can continuously reoccur?

It's happening so quickly there will be minimal scar tissue so he should heal up 100%... Of course it depends on the severity of the tear but assuming everything goes well he'll be 100% by March..

This injury will show just how little depth the Kings really have on defense. When Quincy comes aboard it will be...

O'Donnell - Preissing
Greene - Doughty
Quincy - Harrold
Gauthier

That is scary no matter how you spin it.
