We're going to have to slow down until we get a more reliable source.

It seems as if it was caused by a hit, so it didn't just fail out of the blue. ( his heart that is)

I'm a Pens fan, but this is just horrible. I pray he survives this and makes a full recovery. My thoughts are fully with him and Jagr right now. This must be terrible for both of them.

Details are still very sketchy, all we can do is wait and keep fingers crossed its nothing too serious.

Some Russian bloggers are saying he regained conciousness in the hospital. His lost his heartbeat on the way to the hospital too. This is all unreliable of course.

I am numb.

How could they finish the game if Cherepanov was taken to hospital and his life was in danger?? Surely the game would have been called off?!

I choose not to trust this blog for now and if it turns out to be a sick joke someone should sort the writer out.. shouldnt speculate with this sort of stuff anyway.

GET WELL SOON ALEXEI

Thank goodness that some of those reports may not be true. We're praying for you, Cherry. There are things bigger than hockey and to lose a young man at this age would just be tragic. I hope more news comes forward here soon that puts some of these bogus allegations to rest.

Someone please get some updates,

I just don't see the kid dying from an accidental elbow, you gotta be kidding
Of course not, it's obviously an underlying heart condition that is the big bad wolf in this case. Your heart doesn't just suddenly stop because of an elbow to the face/ chest.

This feels unreal indeed. First, I also thought the selfish "oh man, first Blackburn, now this", then I realized how serious this whole matter is. Cherry can be dead right now.

Let's just hope that blog is incorrect.
