OT: Top Prospect Cherepanov passes away during hockey game

Alexei Cherepanov just collapsed on the bench of Avangard Omsk after colliding heavilly with Jaromir Jagr. Apparently his heart stopped, and he is in ICU.

Source: Multiple Online Sources, no mainstream source yet.

It's all over the place in Russia. Thanksgiving day is your reason for it not being out here yet.

At 3:45PM, many Russian outlets and a contact in Russia confirm he has passed away.

Cherepanov's hart stoped on the bench during the game.

NYR's prospect Cherepanov collapsed on the bench during the last game in the KHL. Doctors said his hart was stopped. He is in the hospital now and his current condition is unknown. Lets just pray everything going to be alright.

He must have something like Jiri Fischer had...

If it's the case, his career might be over

Well if that's the case, there were no previous mentions about any health issues.

I hope he is alright.
Isn't it weird that Jagr just left the Rangers and that Cherepanov is a Rangers prospect?

Let's not go there in respect to Rangers fans, Cherepanov, his family and Jagr.

Lets remember other forums and hearsay are not considered sources... if you wanna bring an update on his condition lets get a real source for that before we start a mass panic in this thread.

Oh god....

Update:

According to comments on SportBox.ru it was Jagr's elbow. Jarg is Cherepanov's teammate. Apparently Jarg didn't see him. Afterwards Jagr was shouting "Wake up Alexei" and was in tears.
