If the game is played tonight like I'm sure it will be I don't even know if I can enjoy it. It's been a long time since I've been able to say that. I don't even know what to think right now. The Rangers could win 50-0 with Lundqvist scoring a hat trick and I would still be unbelievably saddened by the end of the night. You see so many stories about players who had all of the talent in the world but ****ed up their own careers. You just feel so helpless knowing that Cherry had everything going for him and something out of his control does this to his career and life.

Part of me says you go out there and do the job in the face of tragedy.

On the other hand, I can't imagine how the team can remain focused enough to even play, especially if they heard the news when we did, 3 hours before puck drop.

Awards:
It's a scary and tragic occurrence, but the game should go on. The best way to heal is to heal as a team, even if it comes in a loss. Get out there, play your hearts out.

We must be reminded of some classic Dixieland Jazz music. Some of this music from New Orleans featured funeral music. We've all seen it from NO the funeral march music which on the way back from the funeral is very dreary and sad, but then it bursts out into up tempo and joyful music.

We must remember tonight to mourn our fellow Blueshirt Family member, but also to celebrate the joys of life and Cherepanov's life and what he was able to accomplish in his short life. We must celebrate and in which in this case include this game. A game on the team in which Cherepanov would have played for. In which we as Rangers fans must let our emotions flow out into the Garden for our fellow Rangers players to feed from.

Its likely what he would have wanted. Its what any of us would want.

WOW
What a terrible tragedy
I am in a country deep in **** at the moment - but this is just too much
Wow
I hope our team can focus tonight - despite him not being a Ranger yet. But I can understand if they cannot
But this is just so sad.
And all that throw blame around due to blaming whatever things that were not working and what is better here and there - just save it
It does no good

what the hell??

wow..
I doubt they cancel the game.

A moment of silence definitely. An arm band or sticker on the helmet, probably.

Really makes you put stuff in perspective huh? All of our economic problems and all that stuff, what does it all mean? Nothing, we know things will be better down the road. We suffer a little now, so what? There are bigger things in this world.

This is the first game of the year I'm going to... and I've been excited all day long.

But after this...

I don't have the heart for hockey right now.

Did any of them know him? Was he in training camp or did he skip it and train in Russia?

A patch would be great, and I would be sure to buy it as soon as I could.
