Last year's series:
Chicago won the season series 5-1-2.
All time series:
This will be the 58th meeting between the two clubs. Nashville is 26-24-4-3 against Chicago.
Players to watch:
For Nashville, Arnott and Dumont come in tied for the team lead in points with 4 each. Martin Erat picked up two assists on Saturday on the Power Play. Will Hornqvist get on the scoresheet?
For Chicago, obviously it begins with Toews and Kane, who both gave the Predators fits last year. Patrick Sharp was a Predators killer last year as well.
This will be Chicago's home opener. Chicago has won four of its last six home openers.
Martin Erat will tie Scott Walker for 5th in games played for the Predators (410 games played).
Watching our last game, and watching Chicago's start to the season, conventional wisdom would say that we have no business losing this game.
The Hawks may be a bit overrated. Everyone has them picked to take over our playoff spot in the central but their youth has shown over the past 2 games. That being said, they have some of the most exciting young guns and the goaltending could stablilize tonight so we have to battle hard.
rough start into the game, but the 2nd half of the period was pretty good i'd say.
weber looks stronger than ever. that's the one i missed last season.
hornqvist still looks a bit lost outthere, doesn't he? i watched him a few times last season and he's a nice player. maybe he can get his 1st NHL point tonight while i'm watching.
