Despite playing just one period we won 5-3 vs one of the (suppose) top team in the east...not bad at all.

I like how the players reacted to the Hartnell hit at the end and that Gui steped up.

good, they updated the missing assists.

Sergei's a beast so far this season.

And Hamrlik showing some offensive flair

This was a big road win albeit early in the season.

The thing I was most impressed with is the number of big hits along the boards in this game.

Now only missing Lang's second assist on Andrei's goal.

We might need to use the moral victory joke for the Flyers now...what a bush league display that was at the end of the game. Lats was just minding his own business and Hartnell just jumps on him. BS. That stuff won't fly when BGL is back though. It better not.

Weird game. I think the Habs have now reached the point where you have to put them away when you have a chance, and Philly didn't do that. Price's big save on Briere when it was 2-1 (Briere was all alone to his right) and Knuble blowing an easy goal were turning points IMO. The door was left open and we blew it wide open.

Gotta love having offence from the defence...once again Hamrlik was key offensively tonight. Lang's line was very solid, Sergei was a star on that line. What a pass on that 4th goal.

Andrei Kostitsyn looks more and more like a PF. Just a bull on skates. That line is at like 75%.

That's a big win for Price, too. He fought through 2 more Flyers long shot glove side goals and kept us in it.

Laraque is taking names and numbers, we can rest assured of that.

I can't wait to see what we can do with Higgins in the lineup, I miss the guy. Even though he sucks.

I really can't wait for BGL to lace them up and settle things on the ice.

It was actually the Flyers defensemen that touched the puck if you watch it closely.

Five out of Six points on the road. Nothing wrong with that. I'd love to know what was said in the 2nd intermission...

I'm not sure he gets one, I think Richards might have turned it over to Markov after he got steamrolled by AK46... could be wrong though.

I think the defensive system is officially dead. With the assets we have it's pointless.

you're correct, Lang didn't touch the puck, Sbisa did in an attempted hack clearance

Lapierre sucks, Gorges didn't show up tonight, the Kost brothers are ridiculous, and Mike Richards is a great player.

My thoughts on that game right there.

I saw good things from Gorges tonight, and yes I agree that Lapierre just isn't stepping it up this season. His play isn't up to par right now. I'd like to see Chipchura get a shot centering the fourth line.

For those of us lucky enough to get the Flyer feed in the States, Bill Clement said the Canadiens top 3 lines were "ALMOST" as good as the Flyers top 3 lines.
