I don't know about future captain or whatever, but he is definitely special. The only people who would say he's overrated are the ones who haven't watched him every game. His plays with a confidence that you only see in players that have been in the league for years already

Someone can correct me on this, but I think it was Dubi's first NHL fight? Anyway, Luc landed a shot that dropped him...

I mostly worry because He's such an asset to this team and I'd hate to see him get hurt. He looked good though last night. Took a few good shots and landed a few as well. Especially that last one that ended it.

although i agree that you need to pick and choose when you fight, but I do not believe Dubi was the agressor for that fight, its not like he went looking for it, just one captain looking to jump start his team, and one player looking not to give in....i do not find fault with Dubi dropping the gloves there..

Yeah, it might be timeto re-adjust the "2nd line center potential/ceiling" mentality.

Hey, I enjoy a good fight and this was no exception, but this was to no benefit of the Rangers and definitely sparked Philly.

Ok you people who keep saying Philly gained momentum after the fight, and I dont disagree, how would it have looked like if he backed down from the fight? Could that not have sparked the crowd who would bhooo him and the rest of the Rangers for being cowards?

Flyers are a good team and at home ice against you lot they will come back during any game unless half their squad are hurt bad. They are to good to stand for being dominated on their own ice without doing something and that is if their captain fight a Ranger like Dubi or not. It was ment to happen either way.

Dubi said Richards all nbut begged hima nd he really had no choice. Dubi, Staal, and Cally could all wear letters if they stick around long enough.

And that's why Richards is captain. Smart of him to try and fight Dubi, since last year, he was probably known as a nearly goofy fighter, but he found that he can hold his own now. I can see them squaring off a lot in the future.

Dubie will be a 30-40 goal scorer one day ( If not this season ) . Even as a Devil fan he's exciting to watch.

Any chance Renney gives him an "A" by season's end? No need to take one away from Naslund or Gomez, just give Dubi one because he deserves it. Another three points tonight as well as a completely unselfish play giving Cally that last open net goal. This kid is already a big leader on this team.

I love Dubinsky, but some of these comments are a bit much.

Future captain? 40 goal scorer?

Sorry, don't see it.

I see a guy who could looks like a very good top 6 forward, but I don't know if I'd go crazy with some of these projections either.

Dubinsky still has a lot of growing up to do before we mention him as a surefire NHL captain.

I think you're better odds are with a kid like Staal.

He's a very good young player who has done everything you want a young player to do, but I don't think we need to give him the old "HF Boards" overhype either.

Gotcha. I saw a photo recently of the Oilers showing off their new 3rd jerseys and 4 people had 'A's on their chests. Guess you can only have two in a game though. Thanks for the info!

That I think is a fair projection.

As for lines, that's hard to project because I don't think it has the same meaning it did 20 or even 10 years ago. So much nowadays is based less on "ceiling" and more about balance and finding the right combinations.

Chris Drury isn't a "first line" player but he's there for chemistry reasons.

Having said that, I think Dubinsky could be a 30 goal, 70 point player. Though I don't know what line that will put him on.

His overall game has changed a lot since he was drafted. He was a kid I really liked as a 17 year old, but he's grown so much that his entire projection has changed.

When he was 5'11, 185 he reminded me more of Marc Savard at the same age. But at 6'1, 210 he reminds me of a poor man's Messier now.
