I know there are some posters who visit here a lot more than the NHL, Prospects, or Rangers blog. Just wanted to send my condolences on the passing of this talented young man.
Thoughts and prayers to his friends and family, and the fans of Omsk and the Russian national team.
Dam thats tragic. I had high hopes of this guy becoming a regular on the nt what a shame, even worse for omsk losing best youngster and potentially their star if jagr can't come to grips with this. Does anyone think that this will negitivly affect the publicity of the league?

I think there will be another time to answer that question. Definitely another thread.
Hopefully all arenas without proper medical equipment will re-evaluate their safety regulations and will install multiple portable defibrillators and always keep a trained medical staff on standby. It's so terrible that he died when he could've been saved.
This is truly tragic... My heart goes out to this young man's family and friends and to all of his fans. He would've been a wonderful superstar in the NHL, and sure he's greatly missed in Russia already.
Actually, they had an AED, but it left the arena just minutes before everything happened...I dont understand how they left the arena before the game ended...
It is sad sad news to hear of anyone passing away. It's worse when the life is a young one...my heart goes out to the family and friends of Alexei Cherepanov. He was a rising young talent who had a terrific future ahead of him.
