Leaf fan here.... Hornqvist is an absolute stud in the making. He busts his ass off every shift and the kid obviously has talent. Its just a matter of time before things start clicking for him. More PP would surely help.

I don't know how it will happen, but I'm sure Robert Lang will even find a way to score against us tonight

And now if we lose, we know who to blame...

Through two periods, the Peverley - Bonk - Ward line looks good (in their role of course).

We really have to get the Legwand line going.

Once Hörnqvist gets that first goal, I think they're going to start pouring in for him. He's got a ton of potential.

Why do I feel like this is one of those games where we think we're going to grab a point only to see us give up a goal late?

We'll take that.

Solid effort tonight, especially from the Bonk line tonight. I think they provided some solid forechecking and good puck control to keep the Blackhawks in their zone.

Lets hope that Arnott is ok. Did anyone see what happened with Klein?

They played a pretty solid defensive game tonight, not TOO many penalties and scored just enough to win

The Tennessean is reporting a hand injury, but no details beyond that.

Boy, we must have some medical staff...

Good win. Weathered the early storm and only gave up the 5on3 goal but got right back in with a Weber blast. The D is stepping up their scoring, now it's time for the rest of the forwards....Legwand, Erat, Dumont, etc.

Great goal by Klein, he should be in every game. Why does he only get 6 minutes tonight?

Bonk has played well these 2 games.

Didn't think Dumont would score in the shootout. Let's hope this gets his 30 goal quest going.

Willy said on the radio Arnott has a jammed hand and is day to day.

I LOVEEEE that trotz is giving our best D huge minutes. Hammer had 27. Weber had 28. Suter had 30

Don't understand why Klein only got 6 minutes though? Either Trotz was pissed at him or he was injured. Hoping Arny's injury is nothing serious.

Trotz, on Klein:

"Is it fair? No, probably not, but coaching isn't about being fair"

What more does Klein have to do?

Overall, I'm pleased with the shootout win, but man, after Arnott went down, Trotz was coaching this game not to lose, rather than win. Our forecheck looked EXCELLENT in the first, and we just withstood for the final two periods.

It's just a shame that the Fiddlers and Nichols continue to get preferential treatment and icetime.

Trotz is unreasonable with Klein. He has been for 3 years now.

With that said, its about time that he started playing our defensive stars like they truly were no. 1s. 30 minutes for Suter, THANK YOU! 27 for Hammer THANK YOU. 28 for Weber, THANK YOU!

I think it takes some proven NHL minutes for a player to get Trotz's trust in crunch time like the 3rd of a tie game. A few more nights like last night and the Dallas game and Klein will be there. He continues his solid play. Now I almost choked when I saw the two pylons out there together (DeVries and Zanon).
