I really hope that's our 1st line for this game. I want to see what Kennedy could do on the top line but maybe as a right winger and Satan on the left side. Not sure how Kennedy would do there but he's pretty much everywhere when he plays so that'd be worth a shot.

I'm just guessing, but anything can happen.
Probably MT will let Fedex stay on L1, bumping TFK down to L3.
After Sydor was dressed last game, it's tough to know what the next tweak will be.

This should be a good game.

I expect the Pens to come out firing after a subpar effort the previous game. But Philly is also desperate for a win after losses to NYR and Montreal, so you know they'll be giving it everything they got.

We really need to get an early lead to force the Flyers to try and play catch up. The weakest point of their game is transition so to force them to come the full 90 feet with a lead will lead to mistakes.

To be down against them would be a challenge, as their defense while not mobile is decently good at playing static defense.

We need the first goal badly, plus biron has played pretty shaky so we need to fire shots on him.

Playoff atmosphere tonight! Can't wait. Been thinking of this game since the schedule came out. The Pens will be trying the get the taste outta their mouths of letting that Devil game slip out of reach...and the Cryers will be wanting to get the first points of the year before they continue to get buried in the standings by a strong starting Ranger team. Should be a great game!!!...and we nolonger have to worry about the Penguin killer...RJ Umberger!!! Go Pens!!

We can't win in our building, maybe we can try it in yours? Either way, I'll be wearing my Flyers gear around town and hoping for the best. Good luck/don't kick my ass etc.

I love this post for some reason. If more posters were like Doctor Hate, I think these Flyers-Pens games would be a lot of fun around here. Instead, we normally get lunatics, closed threads and sabotaged GDTs.

So let me reiterate. If you're in the downtown Pittsburgh area, and you see Doctor Hate, do NOT kick his ass.

Thanks.

I agree. Maybe if Sykora is healthy it may be time to sit Fedotenko for a game. He's been the most putrid of the forwards so far, imo.

Wow...great GDT...make mine seem downright amateur

It's hard to say you need a win when you have 3 points in only 3 games...but we need an effort. I'm hoping I get out of History of Film early enough to catch the entire game.

Great GDT

I'm really looking forward to this one, even without Hatcher in the lineup there should be enough hate brewing between these teams to get Sid and Malkin running at full speed, and I think thats what this team needs to really gel, a fast aggressive physical game against its rival from across the state.

Well I disagree with keeping Bissonnette out of this one, but at least Cooke is where he belongs on the fourth line. Hopefully we see more offense from this crew.

Nittymaki's starting for the Flyers, according to an announcement by John Stevens. Hopefully the Pens can chase him tonight.

Yes he will be playing tonight....

Quote:
Coach Michel Therrien said Sykora is expected to make his season debut against the Philadelphia Flyers at Mellon Arena. He has missed the team's first three games because of a respiratory illness followed by a groin injury.

At the morning skate, Sykora took up his familiar spot alongside center Evgeni Malkin, with Jordan Staal on the left side. Therrien said Sykora could expect some power-play time tonight.

Sykora's return bumped Tyler Kennedy to the third line with Max Talbot and Matt Cooke.
