I know that A.Kost has been deemed to have higher upside....but I think S.Kost is more likely to not go on a cold streak...
Just wondering what the Habs fans opinions are...thanks
Andrei will... don't let a few games fool you. Even though Sergei is a great player, i expect his big brother to get 15-20 more pts than him at the end of the season.
It depends on how their linemates do. If Sergei gets Tanguay on his line like I hope, he just may beat his older brother. How many goals could Kostopoulos have had so far?
But this is a competition where we all win. Sergei is such a smart player it's scary, and Andrei has fire in his eyes and he's using his strength and speed for more than just goals.
My take: A. Kost will always be on the top line, and thus will have his opportunities to produce. S.Kost will bounce back and forth between the 2nd and 3rd (as chemistry and performance of all members cycles between good and bad over the season), but the longer he plays on the third line, the worse defenders he will face and the more he will **** them for points. Result is he ends up behind big bro in points, but continues to look like one of our most well-rounded players all year.
edit: I'll take a stab at production for the year. Instead of guessing how many games they will play (very hard to predict with small injuries, etc), I will put it this way:
Andrei - about 0.45 goals per game, 0.95 PPG
Sergei - about 0.33 GPG, 0.85 PPG
I think natey was the one who put it in his sig lol; wasn't wishful thinking though, pure knawlejj.
Put it in my signature as if I didn't believe you?
Nope, not me. I've never had a signature on these boards.

As for the thread topic;
I think they will be pretty even as far as PRODUCTION RATE goes, which is the most important stat for an offensive player. Andrei will probably get more points due to ice-time because of who he plays with.
I think Andrei will always be the better player because he brings a lot more to the table in terms of being physical and going hard to the net. Sergei is more of a perimiter player and not as physical or anywhere as good as a finisher. He may end up a better playmaker but Andrei should always be more physical and a better scorer.
I'm not sure but I think Sergei benefits right now from being on the so called "third" line and getting weaker defender lines. I mean - Andrei had to boom that puck from Mike Richards himself while on the 4th goal the Flyers did not look like much (don't remember who they were so I might be wrong).
Andrei will have more goals and points while Sergei will have more passes.
If he keeps that pace , i firmly believe that Sergei will have more pts this season. Imho , along with Hammer, he's been our best player since the start of the season. Andrei will most likely get more goals but Sergei will get more total pts due to his great vision and passing abilities.
That said , both are having great start and are very fun to watch
