Tor/Ott

Too Leafs: 2 1st round picks/Elliot
Too Sens: Toskala/ a mid pick

Then trade Gerber for ANYTHING or waive his sorry ass.....

The leafs do it because they have Pogge coming up and Elliot is a good prosepect and 2 First round picks in a strong draft to continue their rebuild..

Ottawa does it to get a goalie that doesnt have to be spectacular but someone to make the key saves in a tight game...I think Toskala would be a good fit in ottawa..

Sorry we won't trade Elliott who is making the AHL look like a PeeWee League and two first round picks for an aging Toskala and a mid-round pick

Toskala is a league average at best starting goalie and while I'm envious of that given our current circumstances, there's no way we're giving up two 1st rounders for him.

At this rate Elliott is going to end up better than Toskala some day, so I'm not sure why we add the first 2 rounders on top. It'd be easier just to call him up.

Isn't Toskala that guy with a .860SV% and a 4.36GAA?

If you consider 3 of 82 games a good sample size

I'd rather see what Murray can do with the picks and watch Elliott develop.

Murray is really high on Elliott. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes over sometime in the new year.

I would love to have Toskala on the Sens, but not for that price. Even a 1st and Elliot makes me cringe.

Elliot's got a .970 and a 0.96 in the AHL. A friend asked if he has anything left to learn down there. It's a good question.

I wasn't saying those will be his final numbers (but I never thought they'd be that way to start. Was just making sure that was the guy we're talking about.

Do you even read any of your threads?

My god, you post these proposals, get butchered every post, and keep coming back. It's hilarious.

Since everyone seems to think Ottawa would be getting ripped in the deal, just give us what we gave San Jose to get him plus a roster player.

To Ottawa

Toskala
Bell

To Toronto
1st
2nd
4th
Bass

No Bass, no Bell. Bass is a better role-player that Mark Bell, he can kill penalties, he can score the occasional goal. Bell has an oversized contract and is useless.

I would think about Toskala for a 1st and a 2nd, but nothing more personally.

Ottawa should have plucked him out of San Jose, or Bryzgalov out of Anaheim when they had the chance me thinks. Makes you wonder who else is wasting on the benches out there. Don't think your going to find such steals this season. Maybe Craig Anderson, contract year, I think he is ready.
