FAQ: Can I do a GDT in HTML??

A: The GDT maker will get the ability to post in HTML; it only takes a small edit to your account by the admins...

we just did the album Guizz. I say we because we're actually 3 ppl at Monument and not just me.

Themed GDTs seem like a lot of work, but I would definitely try to do something special for each game. Look at the Flyers GDT, that's quality stuff we should aspire to come close to.

I was exactly going to refer at the Flyers GDT. Just a piece of art really though maybe a bit long...

GDT: Boston Bruins @ Montreal Canadiens, 7:30 PM, RDS/TSN

I've done a couple in the past. I have lots of pics to add to GDTs as well (see last year's first playoff GDTs and my posts in them if interested), but I'm not at home right now, so don't have access. As I'm not at home, this one was done quickly, but it gives you an idea. I'm also capable of HTML, so that would be of use.

Whoa, you made me look. That is impressive, but I don't think it would have to be that wordy.

Also : is that our very own JMMR in the first picture, with the tuque?

because then every game there would be many GDT and every time mods would need to merge them etc..

I think its better to have 2-3 people named for this and we always have good looking GDT.

Hail Harry.
Harry did a good job for us last year. But it's a new season, so it's time to give others a chance to do it.

Maybe we could give Harry some sort of ceremonial title and fake responsibilities (Grand Poobah of HTML, for instance) for his services, so he won't feel left out. Kinda like what you guys did for me last year.

BTW, Harry did a great job last year.

Exactly... and noone ever said that Harry couldn't enter the competition... not a mod anyway.

You have to compete for your job at the start of a new season. If the habs didn't try to go out in the offseason and improve the team.... we'd have re-signed Ryder and Smoke; and not gotten Tanguay and Lang.

I like that there will be two GDT starters.

This way we can compare, pick a favourite and boo the other each time he starts a thread.

Good times.

(I'm just kidding, behave yourselves folks!)

Come on the rest of you. I know we have some of the most creative posters on these boards.

I'd love to see some of the great examples that some of you can put together.

I like on the oilerboard we allow anyone to create one and if it sucks or if the oilers lose---we take the piss out of them and they will think twice before putting in a half ass attempt
