I don't know if he'll fight or not, or who for that matter, but one thing I know for sure, if the bruins cheap shot artists try any crap they will be held accountable. Laraque fights for the right reasons and will give our players a bit more room. Don't expect him to fight Chara, Thornton, or Lucic for no reason. Expect him to fight if the Bruins take liberties. If he does it will be Chara. Chara will pansy out.

He had 1 practice with the team...not sure i agree with this right now...though on the other hand, I do.

Either way, I don't expect GL to fight, because I don't think anyone on the Bruins will take him on tonight, they'll just try to antagonize him hoping he takes a dumb penalty.

GL's job isn't only to fight, it's to keep things honest on the ice..

I do want to see him get in on the forecheck, be physical with the Bruins defensman though, I think i'd rather see that then a fight, but if anyone steps out of line on the Bruins i'll be happy GL's on the ice (or bench, whatever)

I can't wait to see him thunder punch Thornton's beard! That dude will go down hard! Plus, I mean we've been concentrating solely on Laraque, but with him in the lineup that means EVERYONE grows an inch or two.

Expect good things from Lapierre, Kostopoulos and Serge K. tonight. We are done living in fear!

It's not like he has to work on elaborate passing plays with Kovalev and manning the point on the PP...

He has a pretty simple game.

I can't watch since I'm at work but TSN.ca has a video on their frontpage with this caption:

I Could Care Less
Bruins' Shawn Thornton has a message for Guy Carbonneau who's inserting Georges Laraque tonight.
Can anyone watch and tell me what's being said?

Thornton says he doesn't care what "Guy" (English pronunciation) has to say with regards to Laraque's role, rambles about Begin breaking Savard's back, and then talks about somebody fighting in the minors and not being rattled by Laraque (Lucic?).

Basically the monosyllabic grunts that you'd expect from an interview with a Bruin. In all the video was less than 30 seconds long.

He made a remark about Carbo's name and said he could care less what Guy says, he then went onto to complain that Begin broke Savard's back and that Steve handled himself well in their fight.

I hope he makes a lame remark about Georges name and end up getting pounded this evening.

Watch it but it's honestly going a little too fast for me. I know that he's laughing at Carbo by calling him "Guy" (pronounced like this "guy"....) Rest, I have no idea, he speaks about Bégin breaking his back? I just don'T get what he's saying honestly, but looks like he's taunting the team....

PS even though I like Lucic a lot, I'd love to see them duke it out...

McGuire on CKAC said that both Lucic and Thornton talked about the respect that Laraque deserves. Seems that Thornton said that he's already meet Laraque in the minors and that he had no problem going at it again.

I know that Thornton, while playing with the Hawks, fought Laraque when he was with the Oilers and actually Thornton had the best of the 1st fight during that game. But then they had another one and it didn't went as well for him.....

Thornton seems like the guy who'll back it up....we'll see about that tonight.

I knew Thornton liked to go at it with minors.

I think Laraque will be harassing Chara and Lucy tonight. Carbo has last change, so expect him to be in both their faces. Julien will obviously want Thornton out there against him. Lappy + BGL is going to be a pain in the ass to play against, and it'll be a truly fierce line once Kosto moves down there (if he even does -- I love him with Lang).
