Well after all he scored that goal against Raycroft...

Letting up early because of our possible floodgate factor with the firepower we have will be an ultimate flaw we have to adjust to this year

i see us getting high leads early ALOt this year, and we HAVE to make sure we do NOT let up and lay back, cuz this will happen everytime

Anyone knows what happened after Tanguay scored in SO? I saw Lapierre pissed off and Saku yelling *******.

They saw Ryder on the ice and figured he would get his revenge? He obviously didn't.

In the 2nd period, they started playing 'not to lose' instead of playing to win..they should ALWAYS play to win

Boston somehow managed to find a way to earn an extra point yet not really earn it. I thought they did great to get back in the game and claw their way back to within one, but they better thank the maintenance people at the Bell Center for the third goal. Talk about luck.

Price was good and bad, letting out some questionable rebounds during the game but he was pretty great otherwise, especially in the shootout.

TKO was a monster (damn you, Pierre McGuire), Max was incredible on the PK and had a ton of energy all night, and Sergei had a strong game as well. I'm happy with the win, as long as Carbonneau confronts the team about keeping the energy up for 60 minutes, not 30.

I was wondering that to. He didn't play a second in OT, even Laps got a shift and he wasn't in the shootout (atleast the first two shooters) hope he didn't get hurt.

A couple of things...

I wish Kovy and Pleks would pass to Andrei a bit more, never seems like he has the puck.

I like Gui's play so far, but I think he'd do better with Lang and Sergei, he plays too much of a finesse game to play with Tangs and Koivu, they need a grittier player down low, sure Lats hits, but I don't find he suits the play IMO, Lang and Sergei do a lot of work downlow, I'd like to see Lats in front of the net on that line.

Higgins would suit the koivu line well, he's very gritty down low which is what Tangs and Koivu need because they're doing most of the downlow work when that's not really their game.

Lastly, besides that giveaway in OT I thought Ryder players a pretty good game.

Price wasn't bad at all. You can't really fault him on any of the goals...

If I'm the staff at the rink, I'd be working overtime tonight to correct THEIR screwup that nearly cost us the game, and gifted a point to a rival needlessly.

No fault to Price at all on the tying goal, IMO.

The Bruins 3rd goal might've been a lucky bounce, but when you work hard, the bounces come your way, and that's exactly what happened.

I won't complain too much because we still came out with the win, but you would expect more with it being the season opener and the ceremony.

Oh well, we still beat them. I'm just pissed we gave them a moral victory. No victories for the Bruins next time.

I would like to say Obyrne played a good game with some nice hitting. Got Bergeron with a clean shoulder the commentators were crying about and Stuart had to go have a talk with him. Stewie better watch it Obyrne isn't Andrei Kost, he can punch back.

He looked like Fleury at certain parts of the game. It's not normal for him to kick a rebound to the slot, it's usually to the corners. It's normally one of his strengths.

This does not feel like a win. The habs can play much better. No excuse letting the bruins back in this game (I'm angry they got a point out of it).

Credit to the Bruins for the effort, but the habs were sleepwalking the 2nd half of the game.

Edit: The refs were pretty bad tonight too, anyone agree? I spent the whole game trying to figure out what is, and what isn't a penalty according to them. I'm Still confused.
This is exactly how I feel. I'm happy that the Habs won but I'm extremely unhappy that they let the Bruins back into the game. The third goal was extremely lucky but sometimes you make your own luck. They played hard to get back into the game and deserved the point they got.

Carbo looked a little pissed after the shootout. I think he's going to give they guys a little talk about what happened.

Also, am I the only one who can't wait for Higgins to come back?

I'm pretty sure Saku was taunting at his good friend Ryder who was about to go or was already gone...
