Oh how sinister, missing practice for unknown reasons (well unknown to RDS).

Yes, but when you consider who would look better in the press box, injured for half the year....Gaborik>>>Koivu

man, I didnt even notice that koivu never played the ot. Imagine if this happened 3 years ago. The whole world would have known if koivu didn;t play in ot. I think this just speaks towards the habs amazing depth at forwards this year.

He's rewarding the Bruins with a moral injury.

1) I hope it's not serious, or that it's not a family emergency
2) I'm glad Chips gets an opportunity to get in the lineup.

It's probably nothing big. We played 4 games in 6 days, probably just a ''therapy day''.

If Higgins is healthy then Chipchura won't play. It sucks but it's likely true.

What is the problem with these journalists? They are usually so quick to find useless stuff, but they can't find out why the Captain missed the OT and the practice? No one wants to ask the coach? They are probably busy trying to find out if Latendresse had some McDonald lately...

LOL. I'm sure not one of them even thought of asking the coach.

The nice think for S. Koivu is that Finnish is practically the second language of the state of Minnesota up dar in the nort!

If he didn't sit out OT, I'd be inclined to believe this.
He may have a minor injury, and he's sitting for a bit to keep from aggravating it any further.

It's possible, he was still on the bench during OT and and shootout so he definitely didn't seriously injure himself, but it's just weird. I think there's something going on here, not a trade but maybe him and Carbo aren't getting along.

Maybe after the 3rd Carbo announced to Koivu that Dandenault would become the habs captain to increase his trade value and Koivu did not take it well?

I know, it just bothers me that nothing has came out, it would be so easy to say to RDS "tweaked groin" or something, this is just confusing as hell.

Yeah, but consider that the league doesn't force teams anymore to tell what injuries their players have. It has to do with that more than anything else.

There's nothing to look into.

I think they're all taken aback from Red's The Night I Slept with Dickie Moore, in today's Gazette.

otoh, they could be waiting for the coach to appear after practice.

I think practices are for all of the healthy players, usually they don't just have the ones getting along with the coach.

After all, the 70's Habs did have players at their practices.

I'm guessing he's just taking a therapy day... Maybe his foot still isn't 100%.

He was traded for Gaborik between the 3rd period and OT.

His wife is really hot, he's smart to grab all the therapy days he can.
