Tryouts in countries like Holland, Denmark?
Just thought I'd ask and see if any locals or even anyone else knew anything about some of the Pro Leagues in their country.
I'm from Canada and am looking to play in Europe in one of the less significant leagues. I already have a contract offer from HMC Galati of the Romanian League for 2009-2010. I use the term "contract" loosely because that word makes it sound like a lot of money is involved when really it is just enough to go play over there and have some spare change. So for countries like Holland, Denmark, Norway, etc...do these leagues hold tryouts? What is the pay like? Travel/Living arrangements while with the team?
I was drafted into the OHL in the 10th round, had some injuries but wasn't going anywhere quickly anyways as I'm too small, European game fits me perfectly.
If anyone could tie up some loose ends for me I would appreciate it.
