I can't fault him for the final two goals. Still, he had to be pulled. Hamhuis can't backpedal like a schoolboy facing a bully in front of the net (see goal 3), and DeVries is going to have to learn to pay attention in the defensive zone (see goal 2).......
How do they come out like that? I don't care that CBJ was having a special night, there is no excuse for not even showing up in the first period. And 3 games in a row that we have allowed a goal less than 30 seconds into the second period.
Does David Legwand still play for the Preds? I know he was given a nice big contract but I haven't seen him for 5 games now so I thought maybe it was a sign and trade deal that I missed or something. (You know it's bad when I complain about Legwand!)
I thought we were supposed to have some great defense? I also thought we were supposed to have a good PK? Because both are kind of sucky right now.
And another game another rookie gets his first NHL goal. What rookie can columbus recall for tomorrow?
These players are still without a point now: Legwand, Hamhuis, Fiddler, Koistinen (but he only played 2 gms).
NMK retired. Smokey is in Florida, but he still comes in and posts....just not as much as he used to.
As for the game - I liked Jones and Hornqvist getting more time. I thought Rinne was given a raw deal after giving up the initial weak goal. In this game, to be blunt, Hamhuis, Zanon, DeVries, and Klein made way to many mistakes.......and it cost us big time. Suter took an unfortunate penalty late, but it from my eyes (and many Blue Jacket fans eyes on their board) it was a weak/poor call.
Still, give it to the Jackets. They made their breaks, and they outplayed us significantly.
