I think the idea is that while we would love to have Gaborik in a perfect world, the price for him is to high, both in terms of what we would have to give up to get him and what it would take to re-sign him as a UFA, in addition to half the team being UFA's at the end of this year.

''Do not trade McDonagh! He can support the offence, he's good defensively and is perhaps the best skater I have been around. He skates like Scott Niedermayer, he's a graceful skater. He's very strong and a complete defenceman.''

''On top of being great on the ice, he's a great leader. He'll do anything for the team.''

On McDonagh being snubbed by the USA WJC team:

''I was in shock when I learned he wasn't on their team. I told myself the USA would be easier to beat without him. They'll fix their mistake this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he's their captain.''

negative on Yemelin (its spelt Yemelin, but pronounced Emelin).

Stick in Weber instead.

And since when do sophomore year players become hockey scouts/analysts?

Winning is not the #1 thing. They want to win THEIR way.....even if it means they're handicapping themselves.

Well i like those 2 russians too but will they come over? who knows. not even them. They have said bla, bla, i'll believe it when they are signed and here. Weber is nearly ready and is here.

emelin and korneev have very little trade value if any.

The Habs.

We need to reduce scoring chances from opponents not score more goals. Our forwards are fine, we'll need a D at the deadline.

Gaborik is awesome and he's still in his mid 20s. Problem is that he seems to be made of glass. I'm not sure what's wrong with the guy but he can't seem to stay healthy.
