I've seen the hit from 2 different angles. One makes it look like a head shot, while the other looks like Sauer's forearm hits Andrei in the chest.

I guess they were holding him that way in case he had a neck injury. They might have preferred to see him in a stretcher but seems to me that A-Kost didn't want to so they were holding him that way as if he would've had a shoulder, elbow injury.

Still, if the kid is still dizzy, it has to be a concussion no????

Higgins + Pleky=Chemistry

People,

don't forget that Pleky and Higgins came through the Hamilton orginization together.

They had great chemistry and they will be great together.

I just hope that we don't go too long without icing the team that we really want to see, which includes AK46 and 21!

It was a clean hit, there is nothing wrong with jumping in a playaer and hitting him with your elbow in the face, come on people!!!

What I don't understand is, what the hell is the point of getting BGL is Kostopoulos has to take care of Sowers? I'll take the instigator, go freaking ape **** and pound the guy. Wrestling with Fedoruk proves nothing, Fedoruk is a nobody and has nothing to do with this. Let Lapierre wrestle with him.

Really?? And exactly how do you know that?

If you stop the video, the defenseman's left forearm is in direct contact with Kosty's head, which is pinned up against the glass. It should have been at least a major if not a match penalty. It might not have been intentional but it was still illegal.

Yeah I got it wrong.
I thought that a KO was a brief moment of unconsciousness (5-30 secs) and a concussion was something more long term.

Carbo also said he'll be passing tests soon (tomorrow probably) and after that they'll have a clear idea...

My cable was down all day, I turn on the TV to RDS and the very first thing I see is Andrei flying down the wing and then just get LEVELLED.

It was very hard for me to watch, as Andrei is probably my favourite player with the team right now.. I had to let my dad go on the phone because I wasnt' talking.

I've suffered a couple of concussions when I was younger. The last thing you feel like doing is lying down. It's like being really drunk, when you lie down you start to get the spins.

My guess by the spaced out look on his face is that he definitely suffered a concussion.

I agree, not sure what game they werre watching. He has the welt on his cheek to prove it. The moron will probably be suspended but it's of little consolation...nobody defenseman vs 1st line player.

Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Watch how he lands though. That big ass bump on his head came from the ice.

His head bounced off the ice pretty hard though.

Players are attacked after a hard clean bodycheck lately. Dustin Brown got charged by several Ducks after one a couple of days ago. In the case of a hit pushing the enveloppe with one of our guys down, retribution (the type the Habs and Laraque gave out tonight after the hit) was warranted if only to show the team won't be pushed over.

I'm not going to comment on the hit being legal or illegal. But I'll bet that Sauer doesn't get any infraction against him.

Sorry I should have wrote: "I think it's when his head fell down on the ice that did the greatest of the damage..."

Anyways, I'm not in the mood of arguing ... What's done was done and the Habs just have to play without him for a certain period of time... I'm presuming it will bring the guys together and they will play through adversity...

You're right it's manditory paramedic procedure to support the head and neck area called c-spine control. It has to be done every time there is a suspected head/neck injury. Looking at them taking A Kost off the ice I didn't see them doing anything with his shoulders it looked to me as if the trainer had his hands supporting his neck on the front and back.

Mild concussion is very likely, but severe no. Carle's concussion was severe.

AK should be fine. But man are his hair ever screwed up... shave them off man..
