I think the better question would be "What if Crosby pulled a Lindros and refused to play for Pittsburgh?"
The Nordiques/Aves got a ridiculous amount of talent for Lindros which made them a a better team. I mean look what all that talent did for the Nordiques/Aves and look what Lindros did for Philly and every other team he went to.
Everybody has a price IMO.
In this day and age you can not just do those kinds of things anymore. The pens would have never gotten the value back on crosby and been able to fit all that received talent back under a cap. Pittsburgh would have NEVER, and I mean NEVER traded that #1 pick.
Love how the Ovechkin one of these got closed meanwhile this one is at three pages and the idea of the pick for Crosby getting traded is far far far far more ludicrous, not to mention we have this what if Crosby demanded a trade one going as well.
you beat me to it! a behind doors lottery will always be tainted . perception is reality. besides, what possible reason would it not be transparent if it wasn't rigged in some ways? same goes to you folks at the n.b.a.
