You should take something for that.

Btw, Drury is going nowhere, he is our Captain and wll be for some time, maybe you should set the example around here to everyone and admit it, so we can all forget about this Drury trade talk

Gaborik would most likely play with one center the majority of the time. That one center he'd play with would be Staal, who is better than Gomez offensively. I don't care about what kind of offensive threat NYR has on the second line at LW, for example, that type of thing is most likely irrelevant to Gaborik. It only takes one player to make a drastic difference. You've been hearing Nash say stuff like this for a long time in Columbus. He wants a good center to play with. That's all. He knows that one good player to play with can make a drastic difference. Gaborik would most likely view the same kind of change very favorably.

Which you used to take a shot at our team. Your opinion is that Gaborik wouldn't want to play here because we lack "grade A talent." It's your opinion that we lack talent, but what we really lack is goal scoring.

yea i know he isnt going anywhere. the previous poster was mentioning possible players to trade for gaborik (including gomez), I figured it was appropriate to point out drurys name was missing. But, yeah, as much as I would love to see them trade Drury...it won't happen; esp with his NMC (which sucks)

I'd rather have Kovalchuk.

Or go a cheaper route and go for Frolov.

.

Marian Gaborik is a legit Franchise player and playing in a system better designed to utilise his skill-set will prove that.

Not sure how we would do it because the only but I would start with Roszival, Korpikoski, Sanguinetti and a 1st

Send both Prucha and Rismiller to the minors and that should provide some room to bring up a solid defenceman for the #7 spot

You would give up all that for an expiring contract!? Id do prucha, callahan and a 2nd. I dont think it will get it done but im tired of seeing our decent prospects given up along with first round picks.

Great player and a possible great fit with Gomez. But he is probably making too much money for us to realistically make a run at.

There are plenty of great wingers available in the off-season, so we should wait until then.

Its not garbage - 3 former 1sts and a 1st is alot for one guy. But Minny doesnt need Rosy, they need forwards.

I'd give that up without blinking.

I like Korpedo and Sangs, but neither are going to come close to what Gabby can do.

Roszival is a waste of $$ at 5million.

If there's cap space to move, I believe it should be him.

As for the offer you mentioned, I wouldn't trade you PM Bouchard for that package.

Prucha currently has minimal to no trade value. Callahan is a nice neat little 3rd liner and a 2nd rounder is laughable.

hate to break it to you but we don't have a grade A talent as of yet. We have a couple B+ players (Zherdev, Dubi, Gomez), a couple B's (Drury, Nas), and a bunch of C players.

Maybe one day Dubi and Zher could become grade A players, but they aren't there yet. so we don't have a Grade A talent yet.

3 FORMER firsts (an overpaid defenseman in Rozsival, a guy struggling to consistently crack the lineup, and a defenseman with promise who struggled in camp this year) for one guy who happens to be one of the most offensively dynamic players in the league is not a lot. Its quantity for quality, and its garbage.

In the dreamworld where Minnesota would entertain an offer for Gaborik from the Rangers (like you said, they need offense, something we dont have), they would ask for Dubinsky plus a prospect, probably Anisimov...Roszival would be a throw in to even out the salaries.

Def not considering it wouldn't even clear enough cap space.

any deal for gabby would start with dubinski. hes, right now, our best young player and quickly showing the league hes gonna be a stud for a long time. unless were prepare to move him along with bobby sangs to start, then we need to forget the whole gabby dream. hes an elite talent when healthy.

not to mention we would need to move salary like rozy and drury to afford him.

not happening without some major reconfiguring.
