Our team is pretty bottom 6 heavy for anyone to be making comments like that. How can you argue against Voros, look at his point totals so far. Sjostrom is on an attacking 4th liner with a PK specialist and a enforcer. They are a shut down, and that would be like the devils 3rd line. Prucha is just the odd man out, dont try and pin him as a bad player for going through a pretty big slump... 22 goals his second season, thats doesn't exactly have bust written all over it.

To me it seems like Dallas did the same thing Buffalo did:

- Limit the rangers goals for the first half of the game
- Score more than the Rangers
- Trap for the rest of the 3rd, at which point the Rangers are too tired and frustrated to overcome it, especially with a ridiculous stretch of games they have had.

Against Detroit, I saw an adjustment made after a horrible start, and we came 2 minutes short of winning that game but still got a point out of it. But it seems when teams trap us we play the same game. I dont know why that is.

when a team gets the lead and executes a trap very well, it's difficult for a lot of teams to score. But to the Rangers end, there were too many individual efforts last night and not enough team efforts and they weren't getting to the puck in the offensive zone (i.e., dump and chase and cycling). I think Dubi may've alluded to this in an article somewhere, and I happen to agree. Dallas played pretty darn good defense last night though - gotta credit them with that. The Rangers played pretty darn good defense too, but just not well enough.

No, because all of those players actually know how to skate, and play the game of Hockey.

great seats no doubt, but still on the "wrong" end of the ice. i'd go for section 57 over 49 in a heartbeat. those could be the best seats in the house.

what's the difference between lost to a trap and a team? None, but the implication is there again the the trap is boring, etc., and my point is who cares what the system is that the opposing team played to beat the Rangers - whatever it was beat them. The Rangers can trap with the best of them and try to hold onto one goal leads also. And I think proper English would be they lost to a team, not to a trap (although I pretty much failed English so that may not be correct, but I think you get what I'm trying to say).
Me fail English? That's unpossible!

dude, you dont have to justify why they are in the NHL. if you read between the lines, you would know that i already said that. because obviously i think clarkson is a player capable of playing in teh NHL so why wouldnt i think the other players are? someone said that avery was right about saying clarkson is a "career minor leaguer", which is obviously just avery being avery and is not true.

everyone i named there clarkson had more points than last year....in his rookie season, so im not sure how you can explain that since clarkson cant skate or play hockey. prucha and maybe voros are the only 2 i would say on that list are better than clarkson. i didnt realize that orr, who had all of 2 whole pts last year, was a full league ahead of clarkson

Orr is a good who is learning quickly to be a very capable defensive forward. Betts is our 2nd best defensive forward on the team. Voros and Prucha are in another league than Clarkson.....It was also Voros' rookie season and he didn't play as many games as clarkson I believe. Sjostrom is better defensively and is a much, much better skater. Rissmiller is worse than Clarkson. Clarkson is definitely an NHL player he's just not an ideal 3rd-4th liner, he's more of a 13th forward IMO. If he goes back to pre-all star game break than he will be a good player, if he continues to try and be Avery Jr. then he's what I think he is. And some of you guys on the Devils board agree with me.
