What if the Flyers drafted Primeau in 1990?

Given how much heart and dedication Keith Primeau had with the Flyers,

I wondered what if the Flyers had drafted him in 1990?

He was not very productive in Detroit and one of the least liked Red Wings, IIRC.

Could he have been as good as he would be? Would he have had better numbers in his earlier years? Maybe he's utilized better?

Then he would've been part of the Lindros Deal.

"What if"...I'll tell you what if.

If 'if's' and 'but's' were candies and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas.

Ummmm, Primeau wasn't that good. How many trade threads have we seen here abotu this guy. He has one good playoff run and all was forgotten about him and his 9 goals. Yes, shut down guy but he wasn't that good. He believed in Hitches system and was a good captain towards the end. One good playoff run here and that's his history.

I'm more intrigued by the "What if..." of, the Flyers picking Jagr in '90 (who went one pick after the Flyers' Ricci, at #5 to the Pens, instead of Primeau who went one pick before, to Detroit at #3), and then keeping Forsberg with their '91 first round pick. What could have been with Forsberg and Jagr together for 10+ years? If the LeClair/Desjardins trade still goes down, then you've got an "alternate Legion of Doom" line of LeClair/Forsberg/Jagr. That's just sickening. But yeah, as far as "What ifs..." go, if my Aunt had a wiener, she'd be my Uncle.

The same could be said for Brodeur, he was drafted 20th overall in '90. What if he fell to round 2 for the Flyers to select 25th or was selected in place of their 4th overall? Would he have been out in a few seasons like so many of our goalies? Or what if he wasn't even taken by the Devils or a team in the East? How different would everything be over the last 18 years?

You could say this every year....

Chances are that whoever was drafted that year was going in the Lindros deal assuming that still happened.

What if the Flyer oranization didnt have something against Russians and drafted Bure, Mogilny and Fedorov

Probably not, if he even lasted more than 5 years on the team.
