Ha Ha I beat you to it!

I honestly couldn't think of anything... I've been trying hard and I just came up with an "Idea"

Oxygen? in the sense that it's something vital that we all need but it goes unnoticed/under appreciated etc...

Andrei "Oxygen" Markov?

Andrei "O2" Markov?

Looks like he's driving a lada. Ladas are awesome.
So Andrei the lada?

He IS called the General in the Habs. Plus he's Russian. We could thus name him Koutouzov (russian general who beat Napoleon in the russian war), altough I don't think many sports fans would make the connection.

Well if he beat Napoleon would that not mean that he hated Bouillon?

no clue on the nick, though i dont really think giant works. That's someone else's nickname.

To answer your other questions: maybe, no, and you cant be serious blaming this on language or the market, can you?

From now on, when he's mentioned in one of our posts multiple times, at least one of those times, he shall be referred to as The General. Let's make it catch on, guys don't have nicknames like they used to, and this one sounds pretty badass, not to mention very fitting. And it's not "Marky" or "Markovster", so that has to be good.

p.s. we need to find this man a nickname... I was thinking along the lines of dependability, consistency, excellence rolls royce? i uno
Yes he can and will win the Norris (eventually)

However how could anyone possibly think that the Mtl market is a secret in the hockey world, more marginal players who've played here are famous (or infamous) only because they played under this nuclear powered microscope, you'd have never heard of them otherwise.

I don't know how else to explain his non-recognition. Sure Markov is an unassuming guy off the ice, quiet, reserved does his job with consistency it's probably why I like him so much but still you would think his play on the ice would make him bigger the a certain Flamer
