agreed and I see your point. I just think it's funny that nobody wants to allow the lines time to gel when prucha's included... maybe i'm just looking for people to be hating on him... i'm just used to seeing it. Again, I like Korps and would love for him to be included but it may be easier to send him down.
I'm not hating on Prucha at all, quite the contray i'd love to see him regain the form he showed in 06' & 07'. I think that Dawes & Cally look really good playing with Gomez, Dawes had at least 4 or 5 really good scoring chances against Dallas, & Callahan is just a live wire that makes things happen.
Drury & Naslund could feed off each other, add Korps to that mix with his size & two way play ablilty, or at least his grinding defensive ablity you have a nice two way line. If it works the right way you have four lines that each do somthing diffrent & can create matchup prolbems for opposing teams.
I dont think trading Prucha AND Fritsche is smart.
You need that extra forward or two in case an injury pops up.
As much as I love Korps game, he can be sent down and the others cant and thats whats gonna give the Rangers the leverage they need with those three.
I still think Korpikoski should get a a few more NHL games under his belt before sending him down. Not only for his development, but i honestly dont think hes hurting the team. His speed has stood out and hes been relentless on the puck. To me his effect on the game is no different than Callahan or Dawes for that matter.
Korp could always come back up. Or Ani. Or whoever deserves to get the call.
Honestly, if it were up to me I'd bench Rozsival's ass but that ain't going to happen.
Rozsival probably has been the poorest of the group, but production is on his side, as is the fact that competition for d-spots is nothing like competition for 3rd line wing. Like nry2k2, I've been very pleased with Kalinin. Not a Norris candidate, but getting the job done.
We can debate all day about who deserves to stay or go, but to carry no forwards in reserve is just asking for trouble IMO. At this point, there's already one open reserve spot, so I'm not sure why anyone has to go at all. In fact, I can't think of any instance where a team has left it's reserve spots sit empty as you're suggesting. What would be the purpose?
