Koivu - Sundin - Tanguay
Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Kovalev
Higgins - Lang - Kostitsyn
Latendresse - Chipchura/Lapierre - Laraque/Kostopolous

Dandy and Begin waived. Oh who the **** am I kidding, I don't care about Sundin anymore. Lazy snit.

BG would do anything if he felt it'd make our team better.
If Sundin would call him to say ''I want in, and I'll take a huge discount''...you can be sure BG would be extremely interested.

Who wouldn't?

hmmm if were goona have to give up the farm to get Gaborik why wouldnt we take Sundin for free?

holding a grudge costs you much more(Higgins/prospect) vs Sundin clear out some cap space

Sundin 1 years
Gaborik 6-8 years

i know what would work best for resigning players next year

Say "We're flattered by your interest in our team. But we're still not sure we want you anymore, we need more time to think about it. By Christmas you'll have our answer. Goodbye."

It's not about holding a grudge...I just think that Bob made his move already and we are now tied capwise. Also the team is doing good and we seem to be gellin as a Team. I really don' t see the point of changing our core (Because yes will need to move one of our 3-5 mil guy) just to make room for Sundin. Then again we could trade Lang but who would pick him? I just think the ship has sailed in Bob' s mind and he is looking at other opportunities...

if Bob made his move and is happy with the club then why were we even linked to Gaborik?

I know were 5-0-1 but remember Ottawa's hot start last year? then they struggle to make the playoffs
its were ya end not where you start its a long season

No way you trade Lang.

For one i do not believe we are in the Gaborik sweepstakes it just doesn't make sense for us right now (even less the Sundin). I agree with you that we shouldn' t base ourselves on just these first six games but the point i am trying to make is that you only need to many centerman and you can only score so many goals in a game. Adding another great centerman to our lineup would certainly add to our depth in the middle but who would you move for him at this point (I really doubt that he will sign for less then 4 mils a year)

If you don't trade Lang who do you move then? And even if we do manage to sign him at under 1 mil a year (which is highly unlikely no matter how you look at it) where will he play. Ice time is already spread out efficiently on our three lines or would u move one of our centerman to the wing? (Just realized that could be done)

I would either move Koivu to the wing or Plekanec to the wing. Likely Plekanec now that I think about it.

lol

cut out $1, $1.75, and $1.85.. while only adding about $1M.. and you have about $4.5 for Sundin
You added more than 1M Nate... you added two players....

Also i know you love Breezy... but I don't want him in our top 6 as a regular D. thats a huge weak spot without Bouillion for me... imagine if any D get injured in the playoffs.

The way i see it.... Begin and Dandy Out... Sundin in.... 22 man roster only one spare forward.

I agree... I'm not moving Higgins to make room for one season of Sundin.

LOL.. okay. I'd give him 3-4 million but he needs to take a discount if he wants in Montreal now.

Sorry Erika... its a pipe dream... we've already gone over the cap issues with a Gaborik trade..... if you want Sundin you can't have Gaborik too... there is just no money.

Clearly Sundin is not what the team needs most, but it's fun to imagine/play.

Bouillon for a pick (since Breeze won't be moveable), dump Begin and Dandenault, keep a 22-man roster, and suddenly you can offer Sundin $5M.

Latendresse - Koivu - Tanguay
S. Kostitsyn - Sundin - Kovalev
A. Kostitsyn - Lang - Plekanec
Higgins - Lapierre - Laraque

Markov - Komisarek
Hamrlik - O'Byrne
Gorges - Brisebois

Price
Halak

Kostopoulos, Henry/Weber/Anderson/Valentenko

lol weeeee that was fun haha. Put Sergei on the second line cause Sundin and Kovy could likely use a playmaker as their third.

By no means do I think Mats needs money, but to answer what has changed since last September, I suspect a probable hit of 20% or more on his life savings caused by this global fiancial crisis. For example, if you have a nest egg of $20 000 000 and you lose a quarter of it in a few months, a 10 000 000$ offer would be very tempting and reassuring, especially that close to retirement.

Strap a pair of skates on this little ***** and ship him off to toronto already since he's clearly incapable of making his own decision.

I'm going to be super pissed if really does sign at a discount with the rangers especially after what he said last year about wanting to compete for the SC and not win it as a rental.

must...stop...the...insanity...

Meh... I don't want him. It's a huge risk, he may destroy the team chemistry that we seem to have built over the last 2 to 3 years. Adding a guy like that and shuffling everyone around him just doesn't make sense.

If he had've started the year with us and Lang wasn't here than yes. Now, no way. I've even changed my avatar to show I don't care anymore.

Next!

You have no idea where he invested his money.
You don't even know if he kept his assets in America.
