As far as Price is concerned....it was a fairly fast recovery for a mononucleosis....

Hopefully Obyrne bounces back but he's become a liability back there. Psyched to see Georges with Hammer and hopefully we see Higgins back. I nearly blew a fuse when reading rds comments, I should know better.

Bouillon-Brisebois frightens me.

Silent Bob will need to get another top-4 D-man for the playoff run.

So, we're sitting O'Byrne against a big, rough and tumble team like the Ducks.. why? So Brisebois can get physically dominated and up his turnover ratio from 100% to 30000000%?

It's amazing how much hatred there is toward Brisebois on these boards. Yes, I know most of you had to suffer through his years of torment, but he has been much more than reliable this year.

The guys has made very key defensive plays all season so far, and I really can't think of any mistakes that he's made at all. (Cue the bashers opening their Word document containing all the mistakes...)

IMHO, the guy has easily been our #5 defenceman thus far. I feel very confident in him. I obviously don't want him moving past #5, but I'm happy with him right there.

Oh this is not a good thing.

O'Byrne makes me nervous each time he touches the puck in our end of the ice, but not much more than Brisebois. It's only this game (so far) but we're supposed to be developing this guy, not crushing his spirit after a few iffy games. Let's hope his time in the pressbox is useful. Gorges hasn't been that much better, and Breezer, well..... it's a metter of time before he coughs up the puck in his own crease and everyone wants to kill him. Again.

I don't mind the O'Byrne healthy scratch. He hasn't been as physical as I would've liked so far and I think taking all those penalties in the preseason has him playing a bit more scared than usual.

Breezer needed what 52 games to get to 1000?

so i think you will see him get 1000 this year like it or not

obyrne deserved it, he was playing awful recently.

he really needs to learn when to do his hipchecks. Most of the time, he misses and it causes a 2 on 1.

Gorges has been amazing so far...

O'Byrne ( and Chip ) are kinda victim of our win now mentality this year.

C'mon you know it's not possible to have more than a 100% turnover ratio.

O'Byrne's a big boy. I think he will be able to handle this. His spirit will remain intact.

I interpreted it as skating at practice... not playing in the game.

53, I think.

He needs 47 more.

Anyway, aside from the very first game (which Brisebois was absolutely horrendous).. he hasn't been that bad. He hasn't done anything of note.. but he's been decent enough.. and 6 games into the season, he's yet to cost us a goal.
