As far as O'Byrne goes... I don't mind this if its a one game thing to tell him to wake up... but if this is a longterm brisebois in the lineup move i don't like it.
Breezy is the better D right now... but O'Byrne has the potential to be much better than the Brisebois of today. He just needs experience, and he wont get that sitting in the pressbox. He needs to play at least 50-60 games before we get to the trade deadline so we can evaluate how much progress he's made, and see if we need to upgrade on D via trade.

And why is SK74 on Line 1 over Higgins? SK has played well with Lang so far, why break them up?? I'm not sure who I feel worse for. Lang or Higgins!

Bof no biggie. There are always in game adjustments and lines arent set in stone. Maybe it's just a way to give Higgins some rhythm being our for the first 6 games. Who knows but I doubt he'll finish the game on the 4th line. Think Frankie Bouillon from last game.
I think we can all relax about Higgins being on the 4th line. Look at Frankie against the Panthers. He started up on line 4 since it was his 1st game back and then as the game went on Carbo eased him back on D. Good thing he was put back so he could get the winner
It's not the 1st time Carbo has done this. I wouldn't be surprised if Higgins moves up during the game.
I believe someone here (not me) correctly pointed out that Higgins and Kovalev's styles don't mesh too well, so that's likely a consideration as to why he's not on the first.
But why Higgins would centre the 4th, who knows. But I'll stop short of losing my mind about it.

Hmmm, I doubt it's a trade move although I am having 4th line bad memories of Pierre Turgeon. He was traded shortly thereafter.
I remember that.... what a stupid trade.
We traded Turgeon cause he no longer fit in our top 2 centres... we had damphousse and koivu had passed Turgeon. It was felt we needed a winger so we went and got Corson.
Peanut and Tremblay were Dummies.... Damphousse was a LW converted to Centre.... why didn't we just move him back to LW and keep Turgeon at Centre....

These might be the lines to start the game, so that Higgins can get a little feel of the ice. I strongly doubt Carbo is gonna keep Higgy on 4th for the whole game.
Begin will be downgraded after a shift or two if Higgins feels good.
As for O'Byrne, like Beaker said I'd find it quite dumb if he sits out for a big number of games.
Julien used to scratch and bench Komi after mistakes/bad games, Gainey fired Julien, put Komi with Markov and kept him there.
O'Byrne is with Hamrlik, he'll need time but you have to keep him in there.
