Quote:
According to the paper, the Flyers are looking for a rearguard who can provide immediate relief.

Probably won't he happening any time soon. The time to fix the problem was in July, not October. You do something now out of desperation, you're going to have done something stupid.

Also shopping for a goalie? I knew this would happen soon.

EDIT: Just trade Lupul + for Jay-Bo and re-sign him longterm.

This season may be tough to get back into, but I will be a happy fan with we can keep Carter and land Jay-Bo.

Timonen-Coburn
Bouwmeester-Vaanenen
Eminger-Alberts

Trade Jones and insert Parent for Alberts so I can finally feel good about this D.

we're looking to trade for a goalie, too?

if we have to deal for a goalie we're better off just standing pat and seeing what happens...too many problems.

They aren't going to get an impact dman at this point. I really don't want to see Homer make a panic trade.

Lol, have faith people. I've been saying ever since we signed biron that he was never a consistent keeper. Yes we rode him in the playoffs. BUT PEOPLE PLEASE! we are no longer in the playoffs! we are in the regular season. He proved last year he is totally inconstistant.

I'd rather just sit on it and deal with it than to do something stupid where it costs us down the road.

Has anyone stopped to think that maybe, just maybe Biron's mental failures can at least be attributed to the defensive hodge-podge that's infront of him?

What is so hard about pulling the trigger on a Lupul+1st rd, or whatever it takes to get a guy like Jaybo in here? Is Florida being picky? Florida needs offense, as does Toronto. Philly is in dire need of help - what's the hold up? Why didn't this happen in July?

they will want more for j-bo. Joffrey is good, but Jay-bo is a dynamic defensive player who has not reached his prime yet. Especially this early in teh season, they will want more

If Florida asked for Lupul and a 1st- I would hope Homer would pull the trigger. I do not see us stinking teh whole year so it will be a mid-t-late 1st for a d-man who can play 20 minutes a night for the next 10 years

Timmonen-Coburn= put them back together
J-Bo-Vananen=a very good solid pairing
Eminger-Parent=jones would probably eb traded to sign j-bo past this year

in a year or 2
timmonen-coburn
J-Bo-Parent
Sbisa-Eminger

in 5-7 years
J-Bo-Coburn
Sbisa-Parent
Marshall-Bourdon

God thsi would be a greeat pickup

What difference would it make? seriously... Price would have been just as high 2 months ago, unless they wanted McCabe or something.

It sucks, but I see either Hartnell or Lupul getting traded for help on D. Both have decent enough value and they certainly would make a good center piece for a deal.

We have PLENTY of depth on fowards, goal scoring is obviously not a problem and still wont be if one of those 2 leave.

Get J-Bo before he gets traded! or Kaberle and Toskala would be pretty nice!

Definately is part of the problem, no question.

Good to hear, our d needs serious help. Timonen can only do so much.

What would we have to give up for Lidstrom?

The desperation factor plays into it big time at this time of year.

There maybe be a few options because of injuries. Because of Demitra going down, maybe Homer would move a forward for Bieksa.

I've been calling for the Flyers to trade for Pavelec for a while, but I still doubt it will happen (even with those rumors).
