I think there being many scouts at the game doesn't mean really much of anything. Fact is teams routinely send scouts across the league to evaluate their opposition so it could mean nothing or it could mean that teams are interested in mtl's players such as a player like Higgins, however, this does not mean that the Habs are neccessarily interested in trading said player.

There were two scouts at the Habs practise as well.

That's an odd one i have to say thats the first i've heard of scouts being at a practice unless they were friends with the canadiens org or something, though, from Gainey's quotes you got the feeling he wasn't really looking into trades but then again Gainey is hard to predict....

Because this is an 8 months rental because being a UFA at 28 he will be able to get Hossa's or Sundin's kind of money.

At almost 20% of SCap, we could wait for Crosby, Ovechkin or Malkin.
There will be other options in the next year.
Hes already at Hossa salary

you are correct about scouts being at games...but usually thats reserved to 4 seats... there has been many more than that though... as low as 12 but as high as 22..

you might have one or two of the team you are playing that week but not many others unless you have something to give...

it could just be because of all of our ufa's and teams are trying to figure if they are worth bidding on!
