Great interview, as always. Promising to hear Nikulin is thriving. Maybe someday...

Indeed. Nikulin would have a nice impact on this team, I'd think. Sounds like he can bruise and Bernd believe's he has the potential for some offensive pop. Another young, tough, big body? Would love to see him make it over.

Totally unrelated, but HollyG, when do you anticipate you'll integrate this year's draft class into your prospect rankings?

As usual, after prospect camp. Might as well wait the extra couple weeks until we can get a look at them all together. Well, most of them anyway.

In the meantime, check out the Chad Painchaud profile that was just put up today, it's by Glen Jackson.

Update on Gracik: he has indeed decided to come to North America next year.

He was drafted by Tri-Cities of the WHL.

He was drafted but I'm not sure he has committed to come to NA yet.

Bernd talked to him this weekend, Gracik said he's going to come over.

Holly, if he does come over. Is there any way to keep up with how he is doing with Tri-Cities?

What do you mean, stats? If so,go to www.chl.ca and follow the links to the WHL stats.

That's good news. The level of play is higher in the top Slovakian league where he was expecting to play next year but the WHL is some rough and tumble North American hockey that will be good for his development as a physical winger. If he lights it up he'll get some confidence and since he was drafted out of Europe he can enter the AHL at 19 the following year if he's not ready for the NHL and too good for juniors.
