Therrien has a knack for putting one-dimensional snipers in roles that make it impossible for them to succeed. Sykora was on the 3rd line until January last year. Despite that, Satan's still leading the team in goals. Go figure.

Good luck tonight, Ranger fans. Should be a great season series!

I'll be at the game so there's a good chance Drury will score. He always does when I go to a game.
I haven't watched any Pens games this season, but last season whenever I saw Malkin moved to Crosby's line, I saw that as a sign that the Pens were struggling and Therrien didn't know what else to do. When they put out one really strong line, that leaves us with 3 relatively weak lines to score against.

Keys to the game:

1) Stay out of the Box. If Cindy or malkin get a step on our D (which they will) let them go instead of taking a stupid penalty. I have more faith in Lundqvist stopping an OMR at even strength when he sees the shot, than being screened to death while on the PK.

2) Call a time out if the Rangers get a 3-0 lead. Seriously. It hasn't been tried, and most certainly can't hurt

3) Roll four lines all night. Their 4th line is a joke, their 3rd line is almost as bad. I am not worried about Therrien matching lines because now that Hollweg is gone, I have complete faith in the Sjo-Betts-Orr line against Crosby.

4) Keep Kalinin away from Crosby. i would throw a heavy dose of Stall-Mara at them all night

In all honesty, we need a huge game from Lundqvist, and a come-out Party for Drury. The only reason this game is big is that it keeps the heat on the rest of the conference as the rangers stack up wins.

Plus, the schedule looks really inviting coming up. They could be as many as 12-15 points up on the ninth seed by mid-November, which will be huge for them down the stretch in preparation for the January swoon we should all expect

Hell, is that tonight? Good thing I had no idea. Thanks.

Korpikoski's healthy again, isn't he? I thought he was playing well, what's the reason he's being kept out? Not wanting to change the line-up while the team's winning?

I think he may still be shaken up a bit.

-When Perry Pearn was asked what he told the team after Renney went down last night, the assistant deadpanned, “Now that he’s gone, we’ve got a chance.”

Tough game tonight. Back to back with a long flight trip, where we play mr Dive in his own building. Just keep things together.
