like I said, reminded me of the Flyers series all over again. Couple of bonehead plays/weakish goals/Quebec goalie standing on his... err, a Quebec goalie wrapped around with a mattress..

The loss goes to the goalie who lets in the winning goal. Price let in the 5th goal so he gets it.

Oh well, a few mistakes made all the difference. We played well enough to win offensively. We're still averaging 4 GPG after all. But it's scary how much that felt like playing the flyers last year and look at the score; 6-4... just like game 5 (not as close cause they had an empty netter). A little eerie, no?

My question is (i missed the 1st pd), why is Koivu on the ice? He really didn't do anything. Just floated around, made a couple of passes, didn't cover anyone in the defensive end...

Mind you, there were some really really bad penalties called and missed.

Meh 1 game.

I wouldn't be worrying about a winger or 4th dman, I'd be worried about a big 2nd centerman, as Koivu disappears against teams that really hit.

Why do I feel like every quebecer Goalie plays great when he plays the Habs?

Brodeur
Biron
Giguere

I feel like teams could put a pee-wee goalie and still, he'd play like crazy....and yes I realize that the 3 goalies I mentioned are great.

Im not to worried/disappointed. Ya we made some mistakes, but we took over 50 shots and had many scoring opportunities. On most nights we win easily.

Dump & chase is a 2 part plan. The last 4 mins we only seemed to want to dump.

this was like a rec game, when the top team in the league loses because they ran into a hot goalie, and every chance the other team gets, goes in.

our pk needs work bigtime, our positioning is sloppy.
i like tang and kovy on the pp together.
higgins played well, as did lang.
everytime brisbois and boullion were on together, i was waiting for something bad to happen.

Now this is a bit negative here. The Canes don't have Hab killer Cole and just barely beat the Isles in New York to go to 5-2-1. Cam Ward was sick though. He'd better not be the new Hab killer He faced 60 shots. Take that Giguere!

P.S. Cherry's mandatory Leaf grinder lovefest. John Mitchell join the list with: John Pohl, Kris Newbury, Jeremy Williams, Ben Ondrus, the list goes on.
