$725,000 and one year. He's RFA at the end of this season.

I don't recall too many people projecting him more than being a solid #4 defenseman going back to his draft year. It's not like people were saying he'd be a perennial All-Star.

Someone will likely claim him. I still think he will one day belong in the NHL.

He is getting waived to get some time in with Peoria before they bring him back to play. He's been out with a broken foot you know. Junland will probably get sent down to play a few games before getting a game in NHL wise.

Actually, Junland is most likely depending on Pietrangelo. If Pietrangelo travels back to the Juniors Junland plays in rotation with Weaver. I think it's more that we've settled with Wagner and Polak as the final two on the back-end.

Woywitka would be a fairly good addition to many teams. However, as said nothing more than a 5/6 guy.

My thought exactly. Then when Rivet comes back, try to send him to Portland since they could really use an extra d-man or three.

I'm surprised to see Woywitka passing through waivers again (well, not really, but the NHL GMs are asleep on this one (shocking)).

For all those calling him a 'bust', I doubt they've seen him play for the last 2-3 years. I think once he starts getting regular NHL time (and stays injury-free), he can still grow into a #4 d-man. But he's an NHL calibre blueliner right now.
